What do you guys think? Extremely crazy or do a lot of things make sense now? I feel like part of it has some connection with the Illuminati & NWO but that's a different thing from cryptozoology.

I believe it all ... and I'm totally getting one. I'll train her to shape-shift into Megan Fox.

This has been floating around for a bit. Hollow Earth theory fascinates me but solely from a mythological standpoint. Shapechaging salamender people plotting with forked tongued politicians to keep me from travelling to Canada without a passport just does not seem, well, plausible to me.

Be careful about injecting political innuendo into posts. I know it sounds like I'm nitpicking. smile.gif

We've had remakes of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween, and Friday the 13th ... why some Hollywood hack has not had the good sense to remake this gem is beyond me, and I can only assume is a direct result of the illuminati.

I like to poke fun where both poking and fun are needed.

But you know what? I'm going to relate the 'Lacerta Files' in cryptic animal terms.

Reptiles figure prominently in many cultures, often ranking as established deities or as spiritual creatures. References to dragons or serpents are conspicuous throughout eastern and western civilization. Their cultural perception runs the gamut from being revered in the east, to being reviled in the west.

Examples: Quetzlcoatl, Typhon, Set (sometimes depicted with a croc's head), Naga, the hydra, the staff of Asclepius, dragon legends throughout Norse, medieval, and Asian culture.

The ability of many reptiles, and amphibians to regenerate lost tails (many lizard species 'drop' their tails to escape predators) or lost limbs (some salamander species), along with the shedding of skin, are perceived as symbols of renewal and vitality.

The shedding of skin, has also figured into the mythology of shape-shifting.

In Christianity, the serpent is most often associated with the Book of Genesis, and the temptation of Eve. Of interest to some who subscribe to the notion of humanoid reptilians is that the serpent was not cursed to 'crawl on his belly' until after the event. This led some to speculate that the serpent was also humanoid, and could communicate.

The science fiction series 'V' is generally constituted as the progenitor for the 'humanoid reptilian alien' connection. The series featured the Earth being visited by a benevolent alien race, that appeared human. In fact, the visitors were reptilian, masquerading as human and intended to make the human race an all-u-can-eat buffet. A noteworthy scene was the hot looking alien matriarch in human form unhinging her jaw and downing a rat. The dude who appeared in the original Beast Master (Marc Singer ... scary that I didn't have to google that ...) saved our collective human asses.

The mythology surrounding the humanoid reptilian then began to spread into other established paranormal and conspiracy mythologies, such as:
Hollow Earth Theory: You have the Sleestak from Land of the Lost to thank for that one.
Extra Terrestrials: Either the 'Reptiles were one of the original terrestrial life forms' mentality, or spawned from the Original Star Trek episode: Arena, featuring a reptilian humanoid called a Gorn. *Note: in a six degrees of Kevin Bacon kind of way, this can also be tied to the Patterson Gimlin film as being a point of reference for those adhering to the 'Man in Suit' theory for Patty. The Gorn costume was referenced by Dfoot in a discussion of suit analysis.

The Illuminati: David Icke has written several books expounding upon the reptilian mythology and has alluded that the world is controlled by lizards that can either assume the form of, or make others believe they have assumed the form of, prominent politicians and or celebrities.

The humanoid reptilian mythology demonstrates incredible resilience to fill whatever vacuum necessary to make sure lizard people are in the mix. There is the belief that they have always been here, or they are originally an ET species that colonized the planet - and are now at war with the original ET lizards from the constellation Draco, and while not busy fighting their secret war are manipulating mankind into global warming because they can't all live in Florida.

As for cryptid animals?
Most of your run of the mill lake and sea monsters have been depicted in reptilian form.
Others of note would be the Loveland Frog, and of course, Lizard Man.

I hope this answers all your questions. I will be happy to make up an answer for any other details that you require regarding this subject. And yes, by all accounts, it is entirely possible that Bigfoot is nothing more than a big shape-shifting lizard.
