It's linking the BFRO too ??

Strange for a Tourism Website to have Pics & a Story behind it like that without them saying that's it's a joke huh, or are the Pics not from the Story ??

I can't work it out..

Texas Bigfoot
I'm so jaded now, I could see a picture of a real live BF and swear it's a fake. That being said, it looks fake to me.
bartlojays
I've ran into these garbage pics before and it was a long while back....... laughable fake.

Looks like they are attempting to link us (BFRO) only as a place to see/look for reports in the same general area as this "alleged" encounter.
Makes you wonder why people even bother to hoax if they're going to put forth such a casual effort like this with such an obvious looking result scratchhead.gif

They have a whole big festival in Willow Creek. They are probably hoping to sound interesting to tourists. They might actually think it is a joke but maybe not. It would be counterproductive to call it a joke.

I agree Bart but don't you think it's strange that an " Officially " looking Website like this would put this up without a wink.gif or anything along those lines ??

Asd Bob said, though, they're using it as a Publicity Machine probably to generate Tourism..

This outfit has been around for a while, from what I've gathered....and I'll be honest I didn't waste much time gathering it......the site isn't really an "official" anything, its more of a set-up for the local business owners in the Castle Rock and Silver Lake development areas to hock their various services.

I haven't been up that way in a while, but its not too far North from the area I work a lot, so maybe it'll be worth the diesel just to go see what's up the road a bit. Maybe throw in a rod and see if the bass and crappie fishing is as good as it used to be, when we lived in the area years ago.

I downloaded the pics, and in one of them, you can see an obvious flap on the back, from the head piece, when he looked down, and a chimp mouth. Major fake, hehe.
adamsclimber
Like I said before, I didn't really peruse the "newer"version of the site, but if I remember those pics came from a hotel or lodge in the area and at least then they were labeled fairly well as a joke/fake however you wish to put it....no real intent at a hoax...besides the sheer cheesiness of them which you think would be a dead give-away.
Redwolf
AdamsClimber is right. These have been around for awhile and intended as a joketo get people interested in a website about a hotel or B&B. My memory might be slipping, but I was pretty sure one of the series of pics had the guy in the sas costume sitting on a log or something.??

Anyway, to the best of my knowledge, these were not intended as actual photographic proof of a sasquatch.

They'll probably get sued.

It's cool that they are talking about BF on a tourism website. Wish they used a better story than that sad one. And it might be time to delete the GA hoax article on the right of the page.
