Somehow I ended up with extra copies of these three Forest Service maps. Since they cover prime habitat, I figured I'd pass them on to a 'footer.

The Forest Service Webstore is offline right now. In fact, all the USFS websites I checked are down. I guess they're over-centralized. As soon as the sites are back, I'll post links so you can see the current price and complete description.

For now here's my two cents:

The Six Rivers map is of the entire Six Rivers National Forest. This two sided paper map covers a huge swath of coastal California from the Oregon Border to just south of Garberville. The P-G Film site, Willow Creek, Redwoods National Park, and the Hoopa Reservation are all on it. The scale is 1:126,730 or one inch on paper equals two miles on the ground, so this is a planning or road map rather than a hiking map.

The Trinity Alps map is excellent. At 1:63,360 (1" to 1 mile), it covers an area from just east of Willow Creek to just west of I-5. An incredible place to visit for any reason. If it was only a couple hours drive from a big urban area like LA or San Francisco, it would be a National Park by now. This map is also printed on water and tear resistant plastic.

The Mt. Shasta map covers a smaller area, but it is certainly a hot spot, check the BFRO data base. At 1:31,680 (1" = .5 miles) this map is almost the same scale as a USGS Quad, and is printed on plastic like the Trinity Alps map.

All maps are in very good to excellent condition, with only minor shelf wear. These are extra copies that never left my office. As far as I know, they are the most current editions available, and in my opinion, short of the USGS Quads, they are the best and most accurate maps of these areas.

New these maps used to cost $8-12, now $12-15 and it would not surprise me if they go up again soon. I'm asking $8 each, including media rate US shipping. Buy all three for $22 or buy the Hoopa book and I'll give you the maps for $20!

I'm happy to ship by faster methods than media rate and to non US addresses. It will cost more, but I'll only charge the actual postage, no handling or packing fees. PayPal is easiest, but I'll take money orders, cash and even a check, but you'll have to wait for it to clear. Please PM if interested.
