National Geographic apparently not to be outdone by History channel now has a monster show of it's own and is called Lost tapes and the show is made in the context of tapes that were found latter on or given by survivors of an encounter with whatever X creature.

Anyhow has anybody here watched the show?

It runs on Animal Planet in my area. It's fiction, based on cryptic critters, but I'll usually watch it anyway.

I just watched the bigfoot one on discover.com, Here is the shows description from wikipedia.

Lost Tapes is a half-hour American thriller documentary and docufiction television series that aired the pilot/a sneak preview on October 30, 2008 on Animal Planet for Halloween, but officially premiered January 26, 2009.[1] The program, a mix of documentary and docufiction, depicts fictitious footage of traumatic stories that are "inspired by the possibility that hidden creatures exist" and is centered on cryptozoological creatures (cryptids), including the Chupacabra and Bigfoot. Two episodes, each thirty minutes long, are aired back-to-back for a total running time of one hour. The show now airs at 10 and 10:30 PM E/P on Tuesdays

I liked the Bigfoot episode I have watched a few others on tv.

They had a marathon of them yesterday, very interesting show and not to be taken seriously. It can make Monster Quest look like something from PBS.

LOL!

Yeah I couldn't watch it after the first episode because it was at best a dramatic interpretation of an alleged event or urban legend.

Last night, I saw the program description on TV guide and that it was a BF episode.

I feel like someone should for sending money to an African scam.

Talk about artistic license, I really don't think they even have a license.

Other than scaring the pants off a group of home schooled children, I really don't understand what the purpose of this show is, other than those 30 second factoids.

I caught part of an episode once. A guy went into the jungle to look for a large reptile of some sort & was bitten by it. Then the rest of the part I watched was him running around freaking out. It ended with him dying in the jungle at night.

I laughed several times throughout watching it. Didn't waste the time watching the rest of the show. Too Blair Witch Project-like for me.

I recently watched a BF related one, not bad for entertainment but certainly not to be taken seriously

Too Blair Witch/Cloverfieldy for my test.

I saw the T-bird episode and a sea monster (giant shark?) episode on Animal Planet and thought they were just plain silly and made for 12-year-olds. JMO only. coverlaugh.gif new_thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif
