Im from the UK, and we get destination truth but in the UK its called Monster Hunter. I have seen the ones that show the Yowie, the Yeti from Malaysia. However, it seems the only evidence that he gets is from the Bigfoot related ones.

Why did they change the title? Destination Truth was much better. They did a programme on the Yowie which was one of my favourites, actually caught 2 heat signitures on the FLIR. The suspense of actually seeing something strange combined with JG nearly falling off a shear cliff in the dark was for me great tv. Hopefully they will do more.

Yowie is Australian version of Bigfoot.
Malaysian version called by a few names like Hantu Jarang Gigi (Snaggle-Toothed Ghost), Mawas etc

I really liked that show and I thought the presenter, Joshua Gates, was good too. Now I am in Canada but watching that show in England a few years back re-kindled my interest in Sasquatch.

Hey Paul, Destination Truth is on every Tuesday night on the Space network here in Canada. I really like this program and Josh Gates is hilarious. I watched one last Tuesday where they look for "Issie" who is a Japanese sea monster and they actually get what they think is a good look at it but they don't get any solid proof. Then they went looking for elves in Iceland and I thought "O' boy, here we go" but it actually was really good and now has me wondering if there may actually be something to the Icelandic elf stories. Overall I think it's a good crypto show.

Thanks Alberta - I'll try and catch it on Space.
Thinking about the quote above, maybe this is because Sasquatch is the only 'real' creature to be featured so presents the only evidence.

I thought they had some sightings of bioluminescence and found a weird cave with bones in it when they went after the Ropen?

Destination truth is one of my favorite shows. I like the way that Gates would charge head first into the jungle after something while his crew would run the other way. You get the feeling that he really wants to know the truth behind the story and is willing to take risks to find it.

My wife (skeptic) really enjoys DT and Josh Gates ... this is the only crypto program that she will watch with me.
Josh seems to always want to take that extra step (heh) and one day will either proove BF on camera or get bonked on the head by BF and have his $50,000 camera shoved up his ... well you can guess.
Living the dream, I say.
