When you are starting a new thread on the forum, please take a few minutes and find the correct place to start it. For instance, if you want to start a new thread about a video, book, radio show, etc., please put it in the correct sub forum.

We are having a problem with everything getting stuck in General Discussion and then one of us has to move it to the correct place. We just like to keep things looking neat around here. sleep.gif

Thanks!!!

I need to bump this one up. Again, it seems like General Discussion is being used as a "catch all" for threads that need to be started in other place. Please take a minute before starting a new thread and look around the forum to find the proper place to start it.

Thanks!

Sorry Jay, my bad. Once I had posted it I thought, "Hmm, this probably belongs in the "In The Field" section..."
Thanks for moving it for me.

No way! It was mine as well, but mostly among family and friends. The other kids also called me "Throb".
My Dad called me Spazmo once and we all laughed so hard it stuck. My little brother was called "Brick" (a combo of Brad and Richard).
How did you end up with Spazmo?

Ha! Mine was "Bong" in High School. But you may be thinking the smoking utensil. Nope. We had our own "language". Every consenant ended with a "ong" and any vowel, you just said the letter. Ben. Bong-E-Nong. Shortened to just "Bong" in the hallways. My mother was an English teacher in the same school. I had NO IDEA what a bong was then. Imagine the talk in the teacher's lounge?

I played on the Jr. High school basketball team and I wasn't the most graceful young lady. We had to wear these gawd awful high top tennis shoes and I just couldn't run in the things so....the other girls started calling me Spazmo and it stuck. I was Spazmo through all of my high school years.

My youngest brother was nicknamed Tinky and my older brother was Doo. We were a strange family. coverlaugh.gif
