Having 4 kids who love to watch cartoons,I often sit with them to get a laugh or turn the channel at appropriate times.

Lately I've seen quite a few shows that include a run in with bigfoot.

It seems to be a popular subject and the kids eat it up.

They usually portray it as a friendly being and I think that's good to get the younger generation feeling comfortable with it.

I asked my oldest boy if he had heard about sasquatch and he said he knew of it and believed it existed.

If only we could have more adult shows pertaining to this and get more people paying attention it might stay away from the tabloids.

Well, according to some of my friends (all in high school) “Bigfoot is for kids” and “only bizarro science people believe in Bigfoot”. And I would not blame Bigfoot’s success in cartoons. Pretty much all paranormal entities do nicely when animated, including ghosts and aliens.

And yeah, the Sasquatches usually are friendly things. Have you seen that commercial with the yeti and the two kids yet? Pretty good stuff. laugh.gif

I wish I could remember what the actual show was called, but I first heard of bigfoot through some Scooby Doo clone when I was reallly young. the story involved a BF that was terrorizing some lumber camp, but at the end, it turned out there was a BF imposter who our heros caught, as well as a REAL BF who jogged off into the forest at the end. I remember thinking that it was really cool that the writers said it was real at the end.

Anyone know what this show was? "Goober and the Ghost Chasers" maybe?

Never heard of that one, but the new Scooby Doo video (Scooby Doo and the Monster of Mexico) centers around a 'chupacabra' that Velma explains is the Mexican bigfoot. In this one, bigfoot is not a nice guy.

I had to explain to my 4 year old that 1) chupacabra is NOT bigfoot (and probably is just a myth) and that 2) bigfoot is a nice guy who does not try to eat your face.

And yeah, at the end it's just someone in suit...

I thought the satanic bunny was the best thing about Donnie Darko.. the rest of the movie was kinda bleh.. Seemed aimed squarely at the teen-angst crowd...

I thought the movie was just plain weird. new_weirdsmiley.gif

There is an episode of Courage the Cowardly Dog entitled "Courage Meets Bigfoot". It's pretty cute with Courage being very afraid and the old lady trying to feed the bigfoot and the old man gathering the townfolks to try and kill it. My favorite part was when the bf stole the apple pie that was cooling in the window. smile.gif

Has anyone seen "A Goofy Movie"? There's a whole segment with bigfoot in it. Goofy is taking his son, Max, on a cross-country adventure (against the son's will) with lots of stops along the way and in one case, they stop and a bigfoot comes and attacks their car, ripping their suitcases apart. There's a really funny part where sas ends up with someone's tighty-whities on his head. The best part is when he finds the son's walkman, puts on the headphones and hears "Saturday Night Fever" playing. He launches into his own involuntary version of John Travolta's famous dance. It's hilarious!!! laugh.gif Goofy and his son continue their argument and in the background is the sas dancing his fool head off!!! icon_really_happy_guy.gif

There are several versions of Scooby cartoons that feature bigfoot. We just rented The Monster of Mexico. My son had written on a piece of paper the word "chupacabra" and I asked him where he had heard that word before. He said The Monster of Mexico. We also just rented "Space Ape at the Cape" and I think that had some Abomidable Snowman in it.

The latest one Ive seen is Timone and pumba of Lion King fame.

They go to the Pnw to find it because of all the bugs that follow it.They eat all the bugs and bigfoot is sad because the bugs were his friends and he made his new friends play swat like the bugs used to.Well it didnt take 2 many swats to make the stars run for the hills. those guys crack me up.
