I found this on a site about bigfoot. I am a new poster, I have had a sighting of something that has made me find you all. I do not understand how marsupials have anything to do with a bigfoot type creature. Am I missing something?

however, marsupials are the only creatures who resemble us who have extraordinary night vision. It should be noted as well that remaim of many early hominids were actually discovered on islands and not continents.Man has a history of locating near water and not mountains.Just a couple more contradictions to what the mainstream armchairists spit out and you lap up!YOU HAVE TO just put all the hypothesis of the past out of your system and start over with your own. Those past ones have resulted in how many captures so far? Biskits Georgia peach! End of the arguement! If I were ten feet tall and stronger and faster than Bigfoot. You could have seen one in my private zoo by now! They're out there..and in some numbers too.Catching them is the only slight problem with proving it!Somebody will figure it out someday! Maybe even YOU!

This is my first topic and do not what to step on anyone's toes. I am interested what you all may think about this sort of info.
I think that this sort of info hinders real research and makes many/all who believe in bigfoot look like idiots.

Just to be sure, the bolded part is something you found on another site and is not your own thoughts?
wiwolf
Sorry, the bold area is what I found on another site. It is not what I believe.

I can't think of any marsupial that even vaguely resembles a human.

Lemurs, which are at least primates, have excellent night vision.

Maybe the person who wrote that is confused as to what a marsupial is. Send them a picture of a kangaroo or opossum.

There are all sorts of primates with good night vision or other placental mammals since he is going all the way to marsupials. It is probably someone trying to explain a Yowie or Australian bigfoot. I would agree that it doesn't make much sense. There is a history of probably getting carried away with the convergent evolution theory in the Bigfoot community but a marsupial bigfoot is silly.

Hopeful, thanks for clarifying that. My heart sank as I started to hear the countdown to another banning start up.

Welcome! Wiwolf thumbup.gif

As Bob Zenor said, "...silly...".

But think how handy a pouch would be if you were a rock collector...

Yeah, me too...Thought I was going to have to call in this guy:

"Right! That's enough! This thread has gotten silly!"

I hope someone else gets that joke.

Welcome, Wiwolf. As you can see, we have a certain tolerance for silliness, but only so much!

Well they both are sort of nocturnal and one likes to play possum as much as the other. Welcome to the forum, good questions.

Hi

Norcal you big hearted wood supplier smile.gif You know everyone can basically say anything you want as long as it don't bust up the forum rules right ? It is up to the individual to take his or her own fate into there hands, No need to conform to any standard, No reason to have to accept any certain opinion, Free to speak and talk with others, Seems to me Attitude is were we find most of our bumps and potholes around here,
So don't feel sad cause everyone makes there choice and even before they are expelled we do in most cases send out plenty of help and warnings before the plug is pulled

Peace

Hello,
I Have been a little busy and have been unable to reply to what you all have had to say. I am not very computer savvy and I am sorry for the confusion I caused.

So, here it is.................
The quote I made a mess of, came from this website,
http://www.angelfire.com/mn2/mnbf/ from a someone posting with the name of "murph".

I am having so trouble making sense of much of the information I am finding on the Internet about Bigfoot type critters. So I came to you all. What I" attempted" to quote did not make sense to me.
