From the very first time I saw the MK Davis stabilized PGF I was intrigued by the frame (middle) where Patty's face takes on a completely different character to the frames before and after. It wasn't until I was looking at a color version and watched frame by frame that it seems to be showing Patty's mouth opening and closing. If anyone has the capacity to do frame capture and post the frames in motion the effect can be clearly seen. Conversely does anyone have any other possible explaination?

It's not a shadow, there does appear to be some sort of facial movement.
Good eye Crow, surprised no one spotted that before.

If that's mouth movement, it's extremely fast. At 16 frames/second it would have to open and close again in 1/8 of a second (two frames).

If that's supposed to be Patty's mouth opening in the middle frame, then can't one also suggest that the big black dot in the armpit on the same frame is a gap in the suit?

What big black dot would that be? The frames I'm referring to require being viewed in motion. Since I don't have the technologyof putting the frames into a moving gif I'm hoping that someon with the technology can. But what is your take on the appearance of the millde frame? This isn't a discussion of about armpits and suit gaps.

I've uploaded the sequence that shows what I've referring to. Just use the sliderin the quicktime and the sequence can be viewed at any speed.

Are you talking about the right arm swing and you see part of the breast? It looks more like shadow behind the arm.

This was also shown on an episode of MonsterQuest. On the show they even stopped and played it backwards several time with digital enhancement and it shows the mouth opening and closing. I would love to get Bob H's explanation as to how he did that and why he waited until he was almost out of view to do so.

To me this is the most convincing evidence I have seen that it is not a hoax. As the young man stated at the end of the episode, they did not need to go that far if they were faking, and there is no way they could have anticipated back then the technological advances of today that allow this to be seen.

Here's another discussion about this very subject:

And here is a clip from that Monsterquest episode:

It was mentioned by some that there could have been a dark area in the backround moving across the face to give the illousion of movement. How does backround move in front of a an image? Perhaps they meant a dark artifact merging into the edge of an image as is the case of Owen Caddy's mouth description.

Patty is chewing on a wad of Double Bubble.

Ya' know... according to Albert O... bigfoot is well known to enjoy chewing tobacco...

And I can see a big wad shooting out of Patty's mouth... that's all I'm saying...

I think she inhaled when she should have exhaled one of those celluloid dust bombs moving from right to left across the frames! cool.gif

I think it is some film artifact.

Regarding the animation from Bigfoot Encounters showing the changing mouth it would be interesting to know more about the supposed maniplation of the film or still that has been suggested. Go to the Films section to see what I am referring to.
