Here is the latest on the Almasty from the Caucasus region. From other similar, recent articles I can also report that the collapse of the Soviet Union farming cooperatives in the area in the late 80s has resulted in far more frequent Almas(ty) encounters and sightings. Hmm... curiouser and curiouser...

When it comes to the modern era of "Pravda", take everything they print with a grain of salt... better yet a five pound bag of salt. It's not the same Pravda of years gone by, but more on the level of "World Weekly News" and "The Sun". They've been publishing a LOT of strange stories over the last few years, including one that claimed a lady living in an apartment would awake every night with her bed bouncing around the room with her in it, strange screams coming from the bed and the apartment engulfed in flames. As soon as she would exit the bed, the flames would go out, the bed became still and there was no evidence of any fires.
