My hair cutter told me she spotted a BF through some trees on a side hill of a clear cut. The sighting was about 15 miles from the closest town. There has been other recent sightings in the area.

She knew about them and was puzzled to see one. She thought it should have been moving faster due to proximity to the the highway. She said it was casually walking along some brush about 200' from the highway's west side. The area is about 3 miles from the ocean and has thick Salal brush and some areas of tall Doublas Fir trees. She didn't stop since she and other people were on their way to an appointment.

My fellow BF tracker and I went to find some tracks. The area was gated off with no trespassing signs up all over.

cool.gif Very cool, 'geogerm'. Did you break the ice by asking or how did the sighting come up in conversation?

Geo, try and find out who owns the property and get permission to look around. Was there a real estate company name on any signs or anything?

Ask a local, they'll know. Tell the property owner he has Sasquatches on his land and I'm sure he'll give you permission. blink.gif

Good idea. It looks like a timber company owns the land and the gate was locked. I could walk in with permission.

I can look up the owner on the internet.

Yeah but what the heck is a BV?
bipedalist
It must have been one of them escaped Bigfoot Virgins that's running from the predatory Bigfoot habituation
neighborhoods Dr. F is familiar with.

Good grief, just when I figured out what BF meant someone throws in a new one! scratchhead.gif

Love that avatar WW!
Ace!
A friend of mine contacted a timber company about some stuff I found and they laughed and denied him permission to look around. *Unfortunately* I didn't know it was private property when I was walking around there. I'm hesitant to go back because now I know it's private and they have specifically said not to trespass to look for BF.

Yea, I here ya, you wouldn't believe what I thought BFRO stood for. Can't say it here, it's indecent but I'll give you a hint- the "B" stood for "big" and the "R" stood for "rectal". whistling.gif

You know it just occured to me, it sure would be a lot easier to learn about these hairy buggers if we'd just cut down all them darn trees. new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

Have fun, Norcal

It's just another stupid sighting with no evidence, but it keeps the BF or BV flame alive. We went to check it out and just saw acres and acres of green trees and millions of paces to hide.

Evidence or no evidence, it's still entertaining to all of us BV hopefuls. harhar.gif laugh1.gif

A quick google search reveals BV is an STD...on the other hand it could just be a typo smile.gif

I have had alot of success by asking private landowners to access their lands. I was straight forward with them and they usually said please, come in. Alot of these privte owners know if a BF is on their property but say nothing unless approached, then most likely help out with areas to watch for activity. I think that they are looking for confirmation of their own sitings and have been asked once to shoot it if I saw it, the BF had worn out its welcome by being a pest to say the least. I had to innform the gentleman that the only shooting would be with my camera.
