The BFF will be moved to a shiny new server on Monday, December 8, sometime in the early morning (probably by 9:00 AM CST). This should not only make the forum feel faster, but will also allow us to make several upgrades to the software that we've been putting off in anticipation of the move. Those upgrades will be scheduled once the move is over.
The site will be down while it's being moved. Since this transfer entails a change to the site's DNS record, so the duration of the period in which the site will be inaccessible will vary from person to person. The vast majority of folks will be able to see the site in its new home by Noon on Monday.
