Haven't found a topic like this on the forum so, If those that have had a sighting(s) are game, sketch what you saw and post it. Also a link to your sighting report or declaration, if available, would be great.

I apologize in advance if this post conflicts with or duplicates any previous topic.

No takers, huh? That's a shame.

Here is a picture of a blobsquatch I saw while walking thru the trailer park one day to go to the store and get me some beer and a can of fake snow. I have highlighted, for you uneducated ones, a mama bf holding a baby and a teenage bf with his pet black panther, plus a couple of BF who have climbed up in the trees to eat pine cones.

Note for all you picture stealers. This is copyrighted material, so before everybody goes and starts posting it all over the web and making tv specials, send me a money order for $5.99 for permission to use it. Don't make me sic my lawyer on you, he's a good one! My brother Billy Joe John Jr done got his self charged with rape last year and this lawyer is so good, by the time they left the courthouse he had got it reduced to following to closely! So you better send me my money.

Nah, most of the time just overalls and no shirt, cause when he aint lawyering he runs a bait store and appliance repair shop down at the cross-roads. Digging worms is pretty hard work, but he does put on a clean white tee shirt for visiting court and carries him big old suitcase with all his legal papers and stuff, along with a few boxes of worms he sells out in front of the courthouse during recesses. He's a great big feller with real bushy red hair and freckles. His name is Abraham Eugene Ledford III, but he goes by "Mater" (like tomatoe cause of that ugly head of red hair), you might a heard of him? Like I said, he's pretty well thought of around here, for his lawyering and red wigglers.

bb, Im sorry, but you missed one in the picture. Right behind the teenage bf (and that's not a panther, it's a can of snuff) there's a shorter one with his foot on that old breaker box to the left. It might not be a breaker box, but it's something metal.

If I ever see one, masterbarber, I will definitely try to sketch it even though I'm not that artistic. I know several people have had their sightings drawn by sketch artists, and they are so interesting to see.

William Roe's daughter sketched his for him. Other artists who have sketched sightings for people are Keith Foster, Pat Barker, Pete Travers, and Harvey Pratt (who will be a guest on Let's Talk Bigfoot next Wednesday Dec 17th!) There are probably others that I haven't yet heard of. Does anybody else know of other sketch artists who have drawn sasquatch?

Hopeful,
I got the idea from watching my kids. Whenever they encounter a new experience that stays with them, they tend to get out the crayons and paper (usually MY printer paper) and draw something reasonably accurate. I thought that maybe some folks here, who have had an encounter, might want to take a shot at interpreting it by a drawing. I think there would be somewhat of a "disconnect" if you were to have someone else draw it. It's just a theory of mine.
hopeful
That's a good point about the disconnect, mb.

It would great to see people's sketches. I suspect it would be such an amazing experience to see a bf that it would help the witness get a grip on what they saw if they could get it out on paper. No doubt there are quite of few who have done just that. I heard of a man drawing his on a napkin at a restaurant. I don't remember who it was - Roger Patterson possibly?

Thanks Mac, That was excellent.

Can I draw a picture of the creature I observed? I probably could, but it would come out looking quite bad; I am not much of an artist.
Teresa
That's the point of having sketch artists. Stick drawings don't convince many people. It's so difficult to put the details of what you've seen into a drawing if you can't draw. If you've had a sighting and want to work with a sketch artist, Pat Barker is as good as they come IMHO

Okay, I'm not that bad at drawing. Close, but not that bad. biggrin.gif

And yeah, Pat is one hell of an artist. smile.gif
Pat B.
Teresa and Sean ... thank you for the compliments!

I just noticed this thread. I would sure love to have a sighting and be able to draw what I saw, instead of drawing what other people describe they saw. That would be great.

I don't think any artist gets it just exactly right when they're working with a witness. You're trying to interpret what someone is describing, and even if the person says it' s dead on, it may be that their memory is flawed, or that they THINK it's dead on but it isn't quite. So you're never quite sure if you've gotten it as close as you want to get it because you didn't see it yourself, and you're just going on the possibly flawed memory of someone who may have had only a fleeting glance of a moving target.

As far as having a witness draw it, that's a great idea. The only problem is that most people can't draw well enough to really do an accurate representation. The few that are artists, and do have a sighting, then have the very difficult task of trying to get the image translated onto paper ... the image that they THINK they remember. We don't all have photographic memories, so it's a really difficult thing to ask yourself to do .... to get what's in the brain out there on paper and make it look like what's in the brain ... LOL.

Anyway, I've often wondered if I could stand up to the test of drawing what I saw, if I was so lucky to have a sighting, in daylight, close-up enough to see features. I sure hope I get the chance some day. But whether I could get it drawn with accuracy ... I dunno. I would hope so, but then nerves, soiled pants, shaking fingers, heart palpitations, profuse sweating, and fogged glasses might create some obstacles. I'm just saying ..... smile.gif

Uh .... Sean .... I'm available to work on a sketch if you're interested .... just pm me anytime.

Edited for speeling ...
masterbarber
Thanks for the insight from an artist's perspective, Pat.
I'm going at the angle that someone who experienced this creature might just be able to translate that "experience" into a drawing, even if not technically proficient. I'm sure we would all love to see these interpretations and I believe that once the first person posts their drawing, more will follow.

You mean something like this?

Pat was gracious enough to do a sketch of my sighting. This is a composite of her sketch and a comparison photograph I took at the location.

Ace!
I haven't had a sighting, but if I did, I couldn't draw it if the thing was standing still in front of me while I drew it. I took an art class, drawing, and failed miserably, no joke. I couldn't draw my own hand. I have no idea how people do it. I'm not much for description either, which my wife hates, regarding anything. She'll ask me about phone calls, a footprint I found, what something sounded like, and after a minute gets completely frustrated, knows less than when I started talking and shuts me down. When and if I ever have a sighting, I better have a camera or the whole world will feel dumber by me trying to draw or describe what I saw.

That's awsome BM! Great job Pat, no question what a talent you are!
It matches up pretty damn well visually from the way you described it to me Sam. thanks for sharing.

A lot of people have seen mine below-which are in sequence, which I regret doing so quickly and rushed after it happened and I got home from Shasta with Kim and her family (went straight from WA where it happened to OR then Lake Shasta then home in Monterey & got started). In high school my art teacher told my mother that had I pursued it I could've gotten a scholarship rather easily and although I went and finished college with criminology, sometimes I regret not pursuing it and the results are that I'm very rusty now compared to then and have lost a lot of touch with that left brain (or is it my right, LOL).
I used white-out to do the re-creations after using a picture of the exact window it was in the whole time I watched it & made the background colorless to simulate better as if you're looking through a therm. I also was more concerned with accuracy in various positioning I recall, more so then keeping the subject size and true profile details accurate & uniform--that's why it looks incosistent size-wise from pic to pic. The truest comparison in what the subject profile looked like are the last two when it stood there with its back to me not moving a muscle for 30-50 seconds-until I took that therm away from my eye (never saw it depart). Also number 3# (but 2 in the sequence) on the ground is exactly what it appeared like after it dropped to all fours (knees down, arms extended) and begun a slight head rotation as if to lock in. Notice also on number 11#, there's a bit of a smeared white-out pattern in the back of the subject which was added to simulate what appeared to be a slight hair pattern that was barely discernable from approx 50yds & could only be seen when the subject was standing absolutely still. On all mammals I've seen with the x200xp in the PNW you see this but they usually have to be fairly close.

I think the Yams forgot to send me some work McClean (tirademan) did with them come to think of it (I haven't seen yet). I'll try and get that and add it here. I just remembered.

WOW!
BM, that's an amazing sketch and I agree that Pat is clearly a gifted artist! Did your sighting occur in GA?

Bart,
Thanks for sharing that series of very compelling image recreations and your story!
Bitter Monk
It was in North GA two Februarys ago.

Ive been waiting for a thread like this...my encounter actually spurred an entire series of Bigfoot illustration. I'll be sure to hit the sketchbook and have something up soon! Nice one! new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif
