Yikes, but that's a lot to read! Like how it starts, though:

Reports should be consumed between two thick slices of doubt.

Interesting reading. There's a mouth full on that page alone!

I enjoyed reading Grover Krantz's rebuttal to a letter written to him. It's down at the bottom of the page. Cool stuff. smile.gif

cool indeed,I think his explanation is one of the better ones I've heard on what BF is not.you're right though it is a long page.

I thought it was interesting how Krantz said a predator could not cause the extinction of its prey. I assume he was talking only about natural predators (that is, those animals who have developed a prey/predator relationship over a period of time) and not predators who have been artificially introduced. I'm thinking of those weird Chinese fish they found in that pond in Maryland. I thought the whole point of trying to get rid of all of those was because they were the Terminator of the fish world (they can live out of water for three days, crawl across land, and eat just about anything and everything they find). Just a thought...

I kind of got that idea too B.I think what he was saying is about the natural predators, and not ones introduced or because of the actions of humans

Uh oh...

Rip Lyttle summarized several reports (discussed later), and introduced a friend for the meeting. Rip's friend, Peter "Rockbadger," was raised in the Eugene, OR, area, and had several incidents to report. The first, on Fall Creek out of Eugene, OR, five or six (1988-89) years ago, reported seeing a Bigfoot in the snow through his rifle scope. Peter said in the 1970's at Gold Point, (T18S R3E, Sec. 34) he shot a rabbit and left the skin behind. During the night, he woke to extremely loud cries...undulating cries, rising to a very high shriek. He and his partner huddled with their rifles, when Peter noticed his partner had fallen asleep, rifle in hand. The next he noticed, it was the next morning, and he also had fallen asleep. Peter couldn't explain this, except commenting that "he" might have "willed us to sleep."

Danger, Will Robinson! Danger!

Yeah, maybe he 'willed you to sleep' or maybe it was the middle of the night!! Jeesh! Maybe we need a thread about how sometimes a report is a good one in spite of the wintness...

amen to that maybe they need to seperate the atf into distinct groups so these guy don't get so confused out in the woods.

Remember that guys icon_razz.gif

But I am sure you all have figured it out that this is just one of many newsletters all of which are quite interesting for older reports and such....

I wanted to mention that I subscribed to Bobbie Shorts (California Encounters) free newsletter and I would recommend that you all did...it has quite a bit of interesting stuff and many geographical reports from various regions going back quite some time....there was a whole thread on older Florida reports that our Floridians would appreciate I am sure smile.gif

True dat about the newsletter, Msfit. I've been getting it for about a year now and it's usually very informative.
