That would be the Ohio Conference put on by Don Keating in the spring. He's said he's not sure if he's having it next year, but he says that every year and then always has it.

Here's his website:
http://www.angelfire.com/oh/ohiobigfoot/home.htmlOne fellow Ohioan I met through this forum has indicated to me that a some independent and small groups of people in Ohio, Wva. and Ky. have banded together to offer a spring gathering at a park in southern Ohio, Burr Oak, once they heard Keating say he was not going to do another conference. They have the lodge lined up for either the first or second weekend in May, and he boasted they would have some fresh faces and a new and better approach to the traditional people speaking at you conference format. He said they had a few items to confirm, but that a website is constructed and ready for launch once those last details are made. Their expectations on attendance are set low, but he said that is one of the new ideas, not overloading a location with people so that some meaningful research can be conducted. The people involved say they are field oriented and not social bigfooters, whatever that means. Now, I only know this guy by email, so it could all be rumor, but at the same time he did send me a link to one of the pages under construction and nearly ready for launch and it was nicely done.
One of the ideas they are trying to get going is bringing in people who have expertise in certain things, a tracker, a forensic policeman, a surveyor, a naturalist, ect. who are not big name bigfoot people but who do have transferable skills that most (but not all) bigfoot people do not have to do hands on, field type experiences.
They promise a splash when they launch the site and announce the event officially, I am sure the news will hit here.
