Firefly
I did a search and couldn't find anything on this--sorry if there's something already here!

I ran across this today: www.bigfootmustdie.com

Apparently it's the website for a movie? Anyone know anything about it?

Are all of those reports on the main page true? Especially the ones on 1811 and 1834? I don't think I have ever heard of those two. They sound interesting though.

As for the movie details go, I am not sure what they are talking about.

It seems like I can vaguely recall seeing this website before, Firefly. I don't know anything about the movie except that it apparently makes bf out to be a big meanie, and I don't want to see it.

I'd probably be as upset as Bill about it!

It looks pretty gruesome that's for sure! Sorry to upset you Bill!

I honestly haven't watched all the movies available but the dvd covers do make him look "evil" and out for blood. I don't really think that's reality, it's just Hollywood making a buck off of people enjoying fear. That makes me wonder--what kind of book or movie would bigfoot researchers and fans really want to see? If not the "bigfoot attacks and eats everyone in the cabin"--then what? I would like to see something based on a realistic type of habituation (errr, not in the style of other "habituations" we know of in other words). What about you guys?

Those are both real accounts and can be found with a quick search. In fact most of those listed on the homepage are quickly recognizable.

If they could just make a bigfoot costume that looks halfway decent I'd love to see a squatch film even if it's a bad one. That horrible nekkid bald squatch on that one move just looked pathetic.

"The Bigfoot attacks and eats everyone in the cabin" type is cool. Its pure 1970's/80's cheese. Sasquatch: The Legend of Bigfoot, Snowbeast, Snow Creature, The Creature from Black Lake, & many others. Pure entertainment, not suppossed to be taken seriously.

Other films on the serious side of Sasquatch research would be great, but the companies that would/could produce are few and far between, because they will not attract many viewers besides those interested in research. And that would not make the company any money.

Taken from the website itself:
QUOTE
Sasquatch (Walter Langkowski) is a fictional character, a superhero in Marvel Comics' universe. He first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #120 and was created by Chris Claremont and John Byrne.

Dr. Walter Langkowski is a member of Alpha Flight, a native of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada of Polish origin and a renowned physicist. He is also a former American football player for the Green Bay Packers.

He possesses the ability to transform into a super-strong, orange-haired beast resembling the legendary Sasquatch. This transformation is triggered by willpower. In his transformed state, Langkowski has increased strength, stamina and resistance to injury. He also has sharp claws and is able to leap incredible distances.

These powers come as a result of Langkowski's own doing. In an attempt to become like the Hulk, Langkowski bombarded himself with gamma radiation at his laboratory near the Arctic Circle. As a proposed explanation for why he transformed into an orange instead of green behemoth (as gamma-irradiated persons are usually affected), Langkowski assumed it had something to do with the Aurora Borealis.

However, unbeknownst to Langkowski, it was not the gamma rays that turned him into Sasquatch pics, but the fact that his lab equipment opened a doorway between our world and the "Realm of Great Beasts." When this portal was opened, a mystical beast called Tanaraq invaded Langkowski's body and granted him his powers. Langkowski had to learn to maintain his own personality and intelligence when in the form of Sasquatch, and was very successful for a time. But Tanaraq eventually took control of Sasquatch videos, forcing Snowbird to slay Langkowski.

Make of that what you will...
