I'd like to say even though this is a forum devoted to bigfoot topics, believers aren't the only folks welcome here. We welcome skeptics and believers alike. Skeptics have as much right to post their opinions as believers and are welcome to do so.

Please read the material here

and this link about submitting sightings to the forum.

The forum doesn't need vigilante moderation by members so please don't tell others what they can say or when. If you have a problem with a post click the blue REPORT button on the bottom left of the post you are calling our attention to.

The Seven Chutes picture has been discussed here in the past so please don't pull this thread off topic by discussing that photo in this thread.

You can find discussion about the Seven Chutes photo here

Isn't that assuming that bigfoot is as physically diverse as humans?

Why make a leap in the other direction when you know morphology is as plastic and variable as it is?
How much sense does it make to consider the Pygmy, the Aboriginal, the Swede and the Vietnamese, then look at this possible morphological variation and conclude it's a different species or sub-species than Patty? I say possible because you're comparing an apparent old male to a younger female.

Further, sub-species are often arbitrary human boxes anyway, and have little to do with that the organism actually is or isn't.

So does everyone agree that the creature is at least 7.5ft tall?

Sorry, not yet. Too many factors unknown. Put someone in the EXACT LOCATION in a pic from the exact spot and magnification.

I'm not saying it isn't...just not enough evidence to agree that it is.

No need to be crybaby and roll your eyes, I simply attempted to assuage your ignorance in a polite and tactful way.

Man people are fragile around here...I haven't seen anything like this on any other board.

Those of you who DON'T fall into this category, and I know there are plenty... you know who you are, don't be offended by my remark.

The rest of you, grow the hell up.

Tomagami,
Keep up the good work. Just one question........when Jim went back 3 days later to get his stuff, what was the purpose of taking a photo of him on the opposite side of the fallen tree from where the squatch was? Was it to perhaps show where he was while the original photo was being taken? Thanks for all your effort.

Can you have a little compassion for the rest of us who aren't as knowledgeable on this subject?

Just don't be as condescending next time.

I wasn't be condescending in the slightest, I was simply engaging in conversation and illustrating a point. You have to give the other person a bit of room when all you have is the written word, things are lost in translation.

Alright fair enough, I just have to get used to the candor of scientific analysis. wink.gif

Side note:
I just got a call from a friend who says Temagami Lake was where the TV series Survivorman shot an episode during the first season.

• E8: PLANE CRASH
In the remote winter-bound forests of Northern Ontario, a crashed plane lies in the snow beside a frozen lake. There is no one alive on board. But this plane didn't crash here - the decrepit old wreck has been airdropped from a helicopter to provide a temporary home for Survivorman. For a week Stroud will have to survive in this harsh snowy wilderness with only an axe, a multi-tool and a single blanket to aid him.

Tomagami, click the "ADD REPLY" button instead of the "FAST REPLY". Then use the upload feature to upload your photos. NOTE of caution, make sure you have a copyright typed on them like the other photos for your own protection.

O yeah, I remember that episode. I think Stroud also wrapped his arm up to simulate an injury so that he could demonstrate how to survive with it.

Didn't SurvivorMan or that Bear Grylis guy have an encounter?

He was in the woods somewhere and he thought he was being stalked? Possibly Alaska?

Keep the pics coming Tomagmi! (Wasn't that some type of virtual pet game?)

The more pics, the better for everyone.
eldonkey
Togomami,

If you really want to put this thing to bed, and prove it to us, along with your camera on Tuesday, take with you a dart gun armed with horse tranquilizer.... Believe me, I am right there with alot of the people here that want the truth, but I will need more than pictures or film to really seal the deal for me. In any event, if you go out there, be safe, and thanks for the pics so far, and for the upcoming efforts on Tuesday...

As I recall, Les has gone on record stating he has never seen or heard anything unexpected or out of what he expected. But I do recall the episode. biggrin.gif

I understand your reasoning, but wont that in theory digitally alter the photo and hamper analysis purposes?

why would it, the other photos have it, and if he doesn't, he stands the risk of the photos being copied all over the internet without that copyright wording on it.

I understand, but doesn't that eliminate the ability to have them considered non-digitally altered.

Like I said I have no issue with him wanting to protect his photos. I agree completely, I wasn't going to post them on my own site until ownership could be protected.

I just thing maybe a mod should be sent unwatermarked images so they can be analyzed, but would not post them elsewhere and then watermark a copy so it can be posted.

Just a suggestion to ensure a chain of custody, as I feel these photos could be of real importance.

Run me through the steps you're using to upload them please. Are you quoting your posts with the other pics in them or are you starting with a new post each time?

Tomagami, I still think your best bet would be to e mail them to Teresa, or any of the BFF mods, and let them post 'em for you.

Keep trying, though...I know we are all rooting for you!

I assume you're waiting for Jim to get there with the rest of the pics?
Crow Logic
Tomagami why waste your time on this forum? If you've really got something show it to Meldrum then show it to the world. I think that once this thing blows out it'll prove that clear focused photos and videos do not a Sasquatch make. As interesting as the photos seem Grandpa Sasquatch doesn't look quite right. I suspect that the incident will eventually evaporate just like that guy Hiker11 and the other guy who was claiming to have secret backing from a weathy patron and showed a video or two only to run for the hills once the his offerings and story came under real scruitny.

come on now crow..........this is the kind of attitude that ruins it and the opportunity for everyone. The man has been kind enough to get these pics up for us..........let's all please show some courtesy.

Holy crap, that is close up. Also awesome that you filmed in HD. I love how commercial HD cams are turning out.
DZ302
Well now that's creepy, but more like what I would expect to see.
Teresa
Maybe because this is The Bigfoot Forum? Let the man post his pics where he wants to. As we say here in the south, it's no skin off your butt.

BTW since in your opinion posting here is a waste of time, same question directed to you... mad.gif

Is this the same creature as the one in the other pics? Because it looks like this one has less hair on its face.

All I see is the back of the creature in the pic. Where do you see it's face?

CrowLogic:

While I understand your skepticism, and share some of it, why not let this play all the way out?

At worst, we are entertained. At best, we get some hi res pics to mull over. Either way, we get better at analyzing any data we get.
