Dang, I should have followed the post count more closely...I could have made sure I was the big winner!
Who was it, anyway?

Oct 28 2003, 12:56 PM
I don't know, NW...I noticed it at somewhere around 49,993 or something, but then got back to the stuff I'm
supposed to be working on today, and missed it.
Gael, down at the bottom of the home page you can see all kinds of neat little tidbits of info!

Excellent!
It's really hard to figure out who the 50,000th was. Basically, I'd need to take the board offline and do some math. Maybe I will some morning when things are slow...

Well..since it's raining, and I am gettin a late start..
I figured it to this point..
As of Stacy's initial post in this thread(at 1 12)..if you count back the previous 6 chronological posts in all forums..you would get to the magic no. 50,000...
Because there may be 2 that came in at the same time...it might be a tie.

And I THINK the winner is.....
Liebling!

Susan, when you go to type a reply, click on the
Show All link at the bottom of the smilie window. You'll then get a pop-up window with all of the smilies on them.
You know, it is kind of embarassing that Bipto, Lisa and myself are resposible for over 12,000 of those posts.
Yeah Fishy... I've noticed what a bunch of blabbermouths some people can be...
And yes... bipto is da' man... oh yeah...
Congrats Brian! I knew you would do it. You smart man, you!
Hey, it ain't pimpin' if it's da' truth!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The one night I go to the internet early and look what happens.
Way to go Brian. This is by far the best forum around.

I will toast you with Armenian brandy tonight. (And that is a whole 'nuther story.)

Thanks, everyone! It is a pretty big milestone...
On top of that, I'm seeing the highest visitor traffic to the site that it's ever had. Just when I think the forum has plateaued, it keeps growing!
And of course, a forum is only as good as the people who post on it.

YES! This forum is
phenomenal. There's nothing else like it. It's definently
the premier outlet for the discussion of bigfoot on the web. Congratulations Bipto, you've accomplished a major milestone for online bigfooting, and bigfooting in general. The future looks bright, and I am proud to be a member.

Bipto--May all our toes increase until they look like yours !
I'd like to express my thanks with a "tip 'o the hat" smilie, but there isn't such an animal

. I bet if one had been created, it would be in common use. Isn't is amazing how valuable ideas can get overlooked?
I must say I'm not surprised at BFF's growth. When I got started here I was startled at the low number of registered members, and I thought, "there's a lot of upside potential here." I can envisage 1000 members by the end of 2004.

1,000 would be quite the increase. We picked up around 220 so far this year. That's about triple what we started the year with, though last year the site was only up about 10 months or so. I suppose we could triple again in '04, but we seem to be pretty consistently adding 20-30 new guys every month. If that pace continues, we'd only double in '04.

Yeah, but I've been here longer than anybody else...
I’ll bet it was pretty lonely in the early days, bipto…
Sitting there all alone… nobody to answer your posts…
Except, of course Craig… and Ella… and me… and Lisa… and Fish…
It’s a real wonder he didn’t go insane! Or
did he?
Muuaaahaahahahaaaaa
Happy Halloween, kids…

I'd like to point out that, when measured by average posts per day, Arky has a significant lead over me...
Me = 7.8 PPD
Arky = 8.6 PPD
So yeah, I have the most, but if she had been around as long as I have, she'd be kicking my butt!
