This is quite well written and thorough, with a plethora of sources and notes.

Holey Smokes! You can get lost in that thing! I'm still not done!

I just wanted to say Thank You! for bringing that to my attention. I have lived here all my life and I didn't realize the Oregonian was that...old? well established? (Firefox has spell check, but it needs a thesaurus too...hint to all you techies out there) And it's still just 50 cents for a daily!

I get this image of the wagon trains disbanding in the mud at Oregon City and somebody asking "Where's the local paper?" laugh1.gif That's an Oregonian for ya...

I also didn't realize the first reporting on Ape Canyon was with them. That story creeped me out big time when I first heard it, cause we were INSIDE the Ape Caves when my uncle decided to tell it to us! Sheesh!

So KUDO"S to whoever wrote that wiki! thumbup.gif

First inception is due to a certain TimShell in 2001

"Bigfoot has been a staple of Television shows and tabloid newspapers covering other topics like UFOs, conspiracy theories and dead celebrity sightings"
