Hey. I am looking for the BEST bigfoot book out there. I haven't really heard of any nor have I found any to buy or at the library. Anyone care to help?

It's all down to personal opinion & what kind of Book you want to read about BF.

For a Scientific view, read Dr Grover Krantz " Bigfoot/Sasquatch Evidence "

For Sighting Reports read Colin Bord's " Bigfoot Casebook "

Other Great Book's include Thom Powell's " The Local's ", " Rainbow Sasquatch by Robert ??, Loren Coleman's " N America's Ape - Bigfoot "

I am just starting one i've just bought by Dr John Bindernagel which from just flicking through the pages initially, seem to have a little bit of everything & looks fantastic..wink.gif

The two best, in my opinion, are John Green's book Sasquatch: The Apes Among Us, and Dr. Jeff Meldrum's Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science.

I live about 20 miles away, so drive on down to Ocoee and I'll lend them to ya.

hahahahaha

I like the ones you mention Robert, I also liked The Locals and Bigfoot: The True Story of Apes in America mentioned previous to your post. I'm also
working on reading the Bindernagel book and would like to try the Krantz book and Raincoast Sasquatch after that.

I just checked Amazon for Bindernagel's North America's Great Ape book. $63 for a used copy!

I'll wait for the reprint.

Try: http://www.bigfootbiologist.org/page2.html

I have nothing to gain financially by providing the link but it seems to be a direct way to purchase the
270 p. book, unless it's a different version considerably cheaper than abebooks and amazon thumbup.gif

I'm reading Dr.Jeff Meldrum's SASQUATCH:LEGEND MEETS SCIENSE. Well written and informative. It's my first bigfoot bookbut I think it's a winner.

There are so many good books on Sasquatch, and a few bad ones too, but overall I think the King of Sasquatch himself, John Green, has the best overall books with the bible of bigfoot being "THE APES AMONG US". Anything by Green is great. I really enjoyed Thomas Steenbergs books but that probably has to do with the locale being near me. "Raincoast Sasquatch" by Robert Alley was excellent also and I did really enjoy Thom Powell's "The Locals" even though there is a paranormal tinge to it. "Legend Meets Science" by Dr. Meldrum was also an excellent book. Krantz wrote the definitive scientific book on the subject in "Bigfoot Sasquatch Evidence" and "Big Footprints". Loren Coleman's "Bigfoot: The True Story of Apes in North America" is a reall good overall look at the subject as is Chris Murphys "Meet The Sasquatch". The one that I want to read the most and haven't been able to yet is Dr. John Bindernagel's "Sasquatch: North America's Great Ape" but like someone else pointed out the cheapest copy I could find was 57 dollars on Amazon for a used one. There's many good books out there but maybe we should start a thread about books to beware of. Hope this is of some help though. Cheers! thumbup.gif

Thanks for all the help guys (and girls?). Anyway I am definately going to check those out. And while I was researching about Bigfoot books my brother told me he has one with a story by Teddy Roosevelt, and some classic tales like Muchalot Harry. So, I have some reading to do. new_lmaosmiley.gif

I found a great book by Peter Byrne titled The Search for Bigfoot, Monster, Man, or Myth. Picked it up in a used book store in Port Townsend, Washington. I am really enjoying it.

Valley of the Skookum, and The Locals are both a little far out, but great reads as well.

For an scientific read you can't beat Meldrum's book Legend Meets Science.
