Hi Everyone,

I have started a blog, mostly Florida related Bigfoot stories, some photography, some personal stuff, but 75% of it will be devoted to news stories and personal writings about the Skunkape in Florida.

Prolly should give Nightwing credit on your blog for his pic and a reciprocal link to the BFF since you've posted yours here.

I have removed his artwork and plan on putting in a list of reciprocal links tomorrow. Thanks for the advice.

This is my first blog and I am learning what to do and what NOT to do.

Man. I have lived in Florida for only a year (next week to be exact) and I am convinced that much of Florida's natural habitat is uninhabitable by humans... making prime-time area for a skunk ape. I used to be one of those people who believed Bigfoot could only be in the Northwest or the Himilayas (yeti of course... I know there is a difference), but I have changed my mind about the skunk ape. He is all to fathomable. And man would I ever love to go find him right out my backdoor!

All I have to do is travel 7 miles to Wekiva Springs, walk the trail, see the two totally different ecosystems, and gaze into the dense jungle to realize how plausible skunk ape is. new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

I know an old guy who claims he saw several of them on the Wekiwa river. He claims he was in a canoe coming around a bend in the middle of the night (brave guy) without a light, on a bright moonlit night, and they were down in the water. As soon as they saw him the ran up the bank and into the woods.

This happened back in the 60's or early 70's, and this guy is pretty old now and lives out west.

Still, I wonder if it's true, and if it is, I wonder if there are any still in that area.

Another guy told me there was a sighting in the Rock Springs Run WMA not too long ago, which is a few miles north of there.
