Myself and a group of four others went on a weekend research trip to Tinkham campground in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. This was our first bigfoot outing. We did extensive hiking, sound blasting, etc., with no joy. We did happen upon an interesting shelter within the campground area itself, though it wasn't along any trail. I do not suggest it was made by a sasquatch, but it did appear interesting none the less. Almost all the branches used were "broken", rather than cut. There were a few branches that were obviously cut. If it were made by our elusive hairy friend, one could argue that it/they used branches that were in the area from pruning/clear cutting within the campground. There was no shortage of these. One branch that was used in the construction of the "entrance" was made from an existing standing tree and was bent down along the top. That would take a bit of effort from a human(s), although it wouldn't be impossible. The inner bed of the shelter was covered with pine needles. The campground is closed during the winter, so it could have been made during winter months. Again, I offer no conclusions. I simply offer these photo's for your viewing. -- Thanks!

Thanks gigantor. Yes, we checked but found none of these.

Is anyone else looking at the PHOTO, and not getting Bigfoot vibes from it?

2nd pic- Pine needles? Under a Pine Tree? WTF

I've built quick deer blinds that look like the 3rd and 4th pic

At least you've documented the fact that BIGFOOT uses saws.

Hi

Thanks for posting and putting up the pictures thumbup.gif I have noooo experience in any type of hunting or trapping animal techniques, Most times i think i am hiking through the forest as quiet as can be and the Deer will text me saying, Hey ! ! Dummy you make more noise than a cement truck driving through a nitroglycerin plant, ( quote from the movie Christmas vacation) But i do know if i see one mark that looks like a saw on a tree, Then i ain't the only guy to pass by that area,

Peace

You evidently didn't read Mojo1963's initial post in this thread but nevertheless you had to belittle the post with sarcasm. If you would have read the post you would have noted that Mojo1963 indicated that he wasn't suggesting that the structure was made by a bf. Moreover, Mojo1983 also noted that the structure was made of trimmings from around the campground area.

Thank you bigfootnis. Now I know why I was relucant to post pictures here. Looks as if he had plenty of time to edit my picture, draw a cute circle around the cut branch and make a sarcastic remark, but he didn't have time to read my post. The arrogance of some people on these boards is clear. I plan on a few more outings here in the PNW this summer, but looks as if this board isn't a friendly place to post information.

Hi

Take it easy smile.gif your shooting back kinda hard, IMHO

There has only been a few replies to your post, Give it some more time, There are many folks that make up this forum and not all can find time to post everyday, You will find that some folks like the tree formations and some are not too sure, There are folks that are into BF living in caves and underground tunnels, Different strokes for different folks, Keep right on posting and stay true to what you find thumbup.gif

I appreciate your posting the pictures, though I see some interesting aspects to the structure, without "being there" I'd have to call
it inconclusive but worthy of checking out the area for further more remote (read: away from the campground) structures. Possibly,
if the area has a history of sightings, maybe checking them out for further evidence too. Once you see enough of these structures in a
localized area, and find them overnight in an area you familiarize yourself with by routine, you will know you are on to something; or
conversely, find them taken down/apart and no longer present, nor can the particular sticks with which they've been made be found
any longer.

Well i certainly wouldn't want to meet him with one... coverlaugh.gif

This structure is old and that saw cut is fresh....Someone could of found it recently and cut some of the sticks up for fire wood... Most of those camp grounds up the are in the woods but there is no fire wood laying any where near those camp grounds so if you want fire wood you have to hike out a ways to find some or get in your rig and drive out of the camp ground to find some and most campers do not bring any type of a hand saw for fire wood or what have you so they go looking for the small and easy wood laying on the ground and most of the time you will have to go some distance to find the easy stuff ...How far from the camp ground is this structure?...

Thanks for bringing the pictures here mojo and for explaining what you found. From what I could see in the pics, looks like very nice country.
adamsclimber
We occasionally find similar shelters here, there's a "survival school" in the local area and my guess from what I know of the Mt. Baker area, that somebody built a kind of "warming hut" while out snowshoeing....But I'd be the first to admit to that being pure speculation on my part. But thanks for sharing the pics.

The structure was within the campground. The camp road is a big circle with campsites along that road. This structure is in the middle. It's actually almost visible (if you were actually looking for it) from the campground extrance. Probably 30 - 50 yards from the road.

Thank you JayleeD and others for your kind responses. I do plan another outing with friends in Aug or Sept this year. A nice old fellow at the Tinkham campground told us that he has heard bigfoot screams in the Greenwater area here in Washington, southwest from the city of Enumclaw. When I played one of my recordings of an alleged bf scream, he said "it sounded exactly like that"! So, that being said, my next outing will likely be away from campgrounds in that area. This time I'll break up my team into at least two smaller groups and communicate with 2-way radios. I hope to get my hands on some nightvision gear before our next outing. I've thought of setting up bait areas with salmon and bacon grease. I have a nice bushnell trail camera with infared. My friends own three very powerful, portable spotlights that we'll use near the bait areas in hopes of snapping quick pics or video at night if we get movement or activity near the bait. I also plan to call blast in hopes of getting a response. I have a digital recorder to document any responses.

If anyone has any ideas, let me know. Also, if anyone lives in the area and wants to come along, you're more than welcome.

Correction to my last. The Greenwater area is "southeast" from Enumclaw.

be ware bacon grease will bring in any bear in the area. the love the stuff. this should be noted as it will affect the evidence you find that is not of a visual nature. it would tend to dismiss any sounds or noises heard unless you saw what made them.

im not talking vocals except for snorts growls and teeth clicking as these are noises bears make. they would have to be dismissed if you use a bate that also brings bears to the area.

Regardless of who or what made the shelter I appreciate the fact that you are out there looking and finding things and putting them up for people like me to see. It would be a three day trip for me to even get close to Bigfoot country so I enjoy seeing pics and reading feild reports from those who live in it, please keep posting.

hey everyone wow this is a very interesting above possible sasquatch shelter photo. thanks bill smile.gif

Thanks mojo for the pics. Like others were saying, I enjoy pics of people out in their native woods. At least you are out there in the field unlike my a**. Sp, thanks for getting out there.
Also, please understand that we need skeptics here as well. I like having people like Drew around...they keep people honest and truthful, even if it sounds sarcastic, we need people like them to spot the stuff that I will admit I didnt even see in the first place.
Peace out. thumbup.gif

You see, to me that is a big red flag there, there are suppose to be hairy creatures, there has to be something left behind, wouldn't you think?

My friend and I spend a couple of hours in Greenwater last weekend driving and hiking trails just to check out possible camp sights for further use. I was a bit disappointed in all the litter along the trails we hiked. Beer cans, expended shotgun shells and bullet casings. Someone even threw a gas barbeque down a hill just off the trail. The area we hiked just didn't seem remote enough. Of course, we need to explore a lot more of the area. We explored north of hwy 410, about 2 miles past the Federation Forest State Park.

We did have a group of three deer cross the trail in front of us.

The mosquito's were definately active!

Keep up the good work mojo. The more people out in the woods looking, the better chance of obtaining proof or having a sighting. thumbup.gif
