I laughed out loud when I read this story. "-something they're not supposed to be able to do."

"We'll, didn't you see Planet of the Apes? Apes need horses to cross water."

5 Escaped Monkeys Captured In Central Fla.

LAKELAND, Fla. -- Five of the 15 monkeys that escaped a facility in Polk County have been captured, Florida Fish and Wildlife officials said.

Lex Salisbury, the director of the preserve, said Monday that the capture of the remaining 10 monkeys is imminent because trappers know where they are living.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said the monkeys apparently escaped their island home by swimming across a pond -- something they're not supposed to be able to do.

The monkeys escaped April 19 at the soon-to-be-open Safari Wild preserve.

"We'll, didn't you see Planet of the Apes? Apes need horses to cross water."

Only in the lame 2nd movie... I'm pretty sure Cornelius could swim in the classic!

But I wondered if there was other evidence of primates swimming...

BINGO! thumbup.gif
