Does anyone thing this individual was having a run in with a bf. Also, could some of the supposed bf vocalizations be cougars?

Hmm pretty neat. My guess is teh dude answering the reply said cougar because until you ehar one in the wild you can't really even begin to imagine the scream they make. Still, 4-5 feet off the groud for the eyeshine would seem to dismiss that unless it was perched in a tree or on a hill or some such.

Nah. I seriously doubt bigfoot. It could have been anything. I have heard deer make some weird noises when in distress, noises that cannot be explained. Other animals cold have different vocalizations that sound unlike the animal that it really is.
