I want to create a bigfoot site. A site where you can contribute to Bigfoot news and sightings and just to share your thoughts on Bigfoot. Also the theorys of if Bigfoot is real or not. And just some ways that you can proove of his excistience. I'll post the link here when it is finished.

I think it is plain rude to use this site to advertise your own forum without running it past the moderators first - especially when you don't even provide the courtesy of a reciprocal link.

I wish you every sucess with your forum Daniel, but I would like to take this opportunity to remind all mods and administrators of other forums that their position on other forums puts them into a special category of BFF members, where their behaviour here will be considered differently.

Consider my 'Starbucks' analogy from some time back.

BFF is Starbucks - not necessarily the best coffee, but certainly the most popular.

Your forum is a smaller coffee shop run by some very nice people, who are also customers of Starbucks, but the fact that they run another coffee shop means that they are expected to be on their best behaviour when they are at Starbucks, and are expected to keep a low profile, not shout about how bad Starbucks coffee is, or how bad the management is, or be rude to our customers. By all means feel free to do that in your own coffee shop - just don't expect a warm welcome here if you do.

I'm not saying that there will be any problems, I just want your new moderators to be aware of how we at BFF expect admins and moderators from other forums to behave when they are here.

There are only so many ways to approach the Bigfoot/Sasquatach issue. This forum seems to be covering all the bases pretty well. I could understand another forum if there was somehow a huge influx of new information and new elements surrounding the question. But it appears to me that what we have with this is simply rearranging the same old furniture around in a new but basically same old room. Good luck just the same!

May I ask why "you decided" that there should be a new forum?

We don't see it as competition either, but the fact remains that as a moderator or admin of another forum, your position here changes.

Bear in mind, than moderators and admins of this forum are encouraged not to visit other forums and post anything that could be seen as critical of those forums, or make posts that can be damaging in any way to their reputation.

We do not openly criticise other forums, and we expect the same courtesy in return. I think that is only fair.

no arguments here.... it would be so much easier if everyone would just agree to play nice.....

Unfortunately, some people are IMO POS's regardless of whether or not they own or moderate a forum. You can ignore it , or point out the lies and deceptions as you see fit ( and should ) according to the rules of the forum you're posting on, and not be beholden to someone else's standard of how you behave.
