Train Riders got to see Sasquatch [Oct-07-2003]

This letter to the editor was written in the Sunday October 5th Durango Herald. Train Riders go to see Sasquatch. Much to the delight of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Guage passengers, at 2:45 pm on Wednesday, Sasquatch was seen walking along the river bank on the other side on the river as we began out journey back to Durango. The hairy black creature had a long-gaited walk and appreared to be about 10 feet tall. Despite the sounds of the noisy train engine and cheers of the passengers, Sasquatch did not change his determined pace as he attempted to walk with the train. As far as we know this is the first documented sighting of Sasquatch in this area. Not only is he on film by many of the tourist, but is a solid part of our history with so many people witnessing his his presence.
