GLEN BENTON CLAIMS BIGFOOT SIGHTING

GLEN BENTON, vocalist and bassist for death metal legends DEICIDE, claims to have seen a Sasquatch or Bigfoot in a Florida state forest.

In the latest issue of Terrorizer magazine, Glen tells the tale of one strange night in the middle of nowhere, where he believes he saw 'the Florida Sasquatch':

"I see this big fuckin' thing lurched down on the side of the road... It's this big grey thing... it fuckin' clears the road in one fuckin' leap, 'ROOOOAHHR!' then into the woods."

Glen describes following the creature into the woods in his jeep: "This thing's snapping down trees left and right. All around was a smell like the inside of a dumpster... This thing looked like a primate of some sort. Fuckin' huge eyes, but like part-orangutan and part-chimp."

After calling Florida Wildlife, the area was checked and tracks are said to have been found. GLEN's experience was documented as an official sighting.

Was it really a Sasquatch that GLEN BENTON witnessed that night? One thing's for sure, it had to be something pretty weird for it to scare the man who some people call the Devil incarnate.

Check out the famous original video footage of a supposed Bigfoot creature at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJjUt2sXo5o

THIS?!?! Is a GOOD thing???

longtabber PE ... after reading a bit of background on him.. I have to agree with your thinking. I certainly don't view this as a plus in the effort to add legitimacy to reports of bigfoot sightings.

redratsnake I just went to Amazon.com to check out samples of his work. The genre he performs in.. is that what's known as "Death Metal"? The album I listened to samples from was.. "Stench of Redemption" and the first 8 samples sound so similar they could be cuts from the same song. The last sample is the only one with any variance. Otherwise it sounds like somebody banging on a drumset, others trying to keep up on guitars and some guy praying to the porcelain goddess on Saturday morning after about a case too many on Friday night.

Samples Can Be Found Here

I sure hope the Beatles didn't sound like this to our parents when I was a kid... geesh.

Hi

I know were your coming from thumbup.gif I have a wide range of music i listen to, Let's say from The Carpenters to Megadeth, I just don't see why his story should be taken any differant, Ya he uses some right off the shoulder words and keeps it very colorfull, But that is were he is from, The folks he hangs around with, I think it should be taken at least equal to other reports, Hey at least he didn't Rap it and kill ten cops before the report he gave was done ????

Documented as an "official sighting"? What the f... (forest)? He follows the thing, in his jeep no less and sees it knocking down trees? ROFLMFingAO! (rolling on the forest laughing my flocking airmattress off). He calls "Florida Wildlife" (Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission) and they come out and find tracks... of what? His jeep knocking down trees left and right through the "State Forest"?

Documented as an official sighting of a raging celebrity lunatic blazing a trail through a protected State Forest in a million dollar, pimped out Jeep Rubicon with speakers powerful enough to make a honking silverback infrasound blast seem like a baby field cricket's chirp. There wouldn't have been a bf within a hundred miles of that thing.

Otherwise, he sounds highly credible.

Is about as believable as the National Enquirer.
I have know Glen Benton for over 20 years. I talked to him
last night and he has assured me this is all BS.
He has never stated anything that was said in that "interview" (made up story).

I go by deicide and use a album cover he designed because he is one of my best friends of over 20 years.

Glen is who he is. But as a friend you can depend on him night or day and he told me straight out this is all BS.
He never stated any of this.

No it's not "death metal", it's "Black Metal". As far as how it sounds....to each their own.
I happen to love their music (I am biased I must admit). But I love death/black metal.
I'm sure when I was a skateboarder back in the early 80's listening to the Dead Kennedy's
many people thought the same thing as you about them.
I don't like rap or country but I never put them down as they are outlets and pleasure to
other people.

My apologies for going off topic.

Well, ladies and gentlemen

That, as they say, is the end of that. Another shining example of our free and unaccountable press.
Ty
He's obviously retracting for fear of ridicule among his peers and the risk of losing advancement in his Black metal career.

So does he believe in BF? How about you? That's a crazy coincidence that an article comes out saying he claimed to have seen BF, then you say you're his friend and the story was bogus but - You just happen to be a member of a forum that mainly discusses the topic of BF.

If you notice I have been a member here since 2006.
Are all my friends supposed to believe what I believe??
Hmmmmm do you think their is a reason I chose this name and use a copywrited
avatar (that I have full permission to use). I grew up in the Death/Black metal culture
mainly because Glen.
As the public may see him, he is a hateful, satanist (he's gonna kill me when he see's that), that doesn't give
a second thought to what anyone thinks of him.
Do you all think he has millions of dollars or something???
He makes less a year than I do.
He does what he loves and I support him fully.
The man has never lied to me in 20+ years (that I know of) and has told me he never made those statements.
Where they came from....I have no idea...But Glen telling me he didn't make them is good enough for me.

You all can take it for what it's worth. (not even a cup of coffee)

The man burnt an upside down cross into his forehead (I was there
The story goes something like this (I am kinda drunk so forgive me for typo's)
He was drunk off his ass in Chicago and passed out on his way back to his hotel room
. He woke up and seen a church across the street. He went in and stole a crucifix symbol.
Over the course of several weeks he heated the crucifix up and burnt it into his forehead.
I remember several times of him saying very vulgar things (this is a family board so I won't repeat them) as he did this
(and many bottles of Jack Daniels).
It's not a gimmick, it's his beliefs. And whether you believe them or not, he will never change what he believes nor
will he ever lie to you about them.

I'm just talking as friend of the man for 20+ years.
If he tells me he didn't say something I find it hard to believe he said it.
Glen is not one for saying something and then saying he didn't say it... quite the opposite actually.

Ha ha ha ha ha! Funny. I'm serious! Although I know a few guys and gals from the second wave of black metal and some of them do believe bf could exist. Some of them are even expert fishers. Some of them are super intelligent and know more about mythology than a person should, but we have a few who never read anything. As far as Glen Benton, he's like what Deicide the member says about being what he is, although he did manage to live past the ripe old age of 33. coverlaugh.gif

To me this just further goes to show that persons from all walks of life have witnessed BF's. Skeptics would add maybe just another hallucination or since the guys is into death metal that he is not "credible". Of course what would that matter as skeptics also feel that there is no credible witness whether it be the Pope or the smartest man alive.
