When I was in California I bought a Bigfoot Action figure from a Crytozoology line of figures. It's made by a company called Mezco. They also had the Jersy Devil, Nessie, and the Mothman.

Yeah, I got it a couple of weeks ago.

It is a tiny thing, about 5 inches, and is not a very impressive sculpt, if you ask me. The Jersey Devil is a nice sculpt, but, the Bigfoot is not as well done, in my opinion.

Mezco, the company, also had a 18 inch Loch Ness Monster figure planned to complete this line of Crypto animals, but, I think that has been canceled...

Yeah, it leaves something to be desired but I had to have it.

Yeah, good sculpt or *not so good*, its still cool! I like the little footprint casting that comes with it! He seems to have *loin cloth* of sorts, doesn't he?

I have always wanted Mcfarlane Toys to do a Crypto line of figures. With his talented stable of sculptors, that would be certainly be something to see....

I was just going to say the same thing - I have an awesome Creature from the Black Lagoon from McFarlane Toys - they'd do a great Sasquatch!!!

Maybe we should start a letter-writing campaign...

Are You reffering to this figure Ray? -

http://www.imaginedat.net/img/creature.jpg

If so, that was released by Sideshow Toys, not McFarlane Toys...

But, if You're reffering to this one -

http://thegalleryofmonstertoys.com/90swing...seacreature.jpg

Then yup, McFarlane Toys did indeed release that one (although technically it's not The Creature from the Black Lagoon)...

Either way, both are excellent sculpts to be sure (my son has em both)...

Creature from the Black Lagoon is one of my ALL time favorite movies...A tad hokie, by todays standards, but damn the Gillman is still the single coolest conceptually designed movie monster in existance, especially for it's time (in my opinion)...

Now if only someone would remake the movie already (and do it justice at the same time), instead of slinging out mummy flicks over and over...

Howlingmad,

How can I get one of those? Any info would be appreciated.
damndirtyape
These are figurines of Bigfoot. They can be found here http://www.clawmarktoys.com/ufo-index.html

The Patterson/Gimlin animal

Apparently the model used by Cliff Crook in the Wild Creek pictures

Another one and A variation

More on the lines coming from Russia

Any news piece about Cliff Crook should direct the attention to WS38 for comparison.

SideshowToys Rocks! They have my undying love for their Classic Universal Monsters and R. Lee Ermey figures! As for the Mezco BF...

That boy needs some Rogaine!

DDA did you figure out what you needed? just cut the URL back to

Clawmark toys

and hit the ordering HTML at the top. I found that site yesterday while
looking for something else. I saw the Crook figure but didn't wanna
open that can of worms wink.gif

HEY NOW, don't go ordering the last of those before I get mine smile.gif

According to Loren Colman(who seems to have one of the CC models), it is the model that is based on the photo, not the other way around. Seems the company in question bases their figures off of "famous" photographs. The packaging for the model has the C.C. photo on it....
Just an FYI.

The new Mezco Bigfoot is $7.99 with $4.99 shipping, to be found here..

I never knew there were that many Bigfoot figures available, like the Clawmark company offers.

Thanks for that info, fellers.......

I take it there are conflicting opinions on the Cliff Crook photo? I recall seeing that photo on the Ancient Mysteries documentary, but, never heard anything more about its authenticity or lack of..

Yep - that's the one I've got!

More about it here:

http://www.mcfarlane.com/toys/product.aspx...roduct=creature

Its "inspired" by the Creature from the Black Lagoon - which makes me wonder what McFarlane Toys would do with their interpretation of Bigfoot - it would definately by frightening! This thing still creeps me out sometimes.

The level of detail is awesome - its completely encrusted with seaweed, barnacles, starfish, and shellfish.

I loved the Gillman! - it was my favorite monster when I was a kid. I agree - it was just such a well-realized design - pure genius - which is what made it work so well for me, even as a kid. icon_mrgreen.gif

I like the gi joe yeti. I might die the hair black and darken the skin areas. The best part is that it is poseable for your bigfoot diorama.

Now there is a person seriously into the subject!
(not that I can talk...I drew several rather fantastic renderings of the UFO I saw...untill I decided it was becoming a bit too much like the dude who made the potato sculpture in close encounters...)

Cool. I was in KMart about a year ago, and they had GI-Joe with Snow Yeti. Looked pretty good.
