On the plus side, it's not an obvious person in a monkey suit. It's got that "got the camera on at the last second" quality you'd expect if it were real. The environment looks about right.
On the negative side, it's on YouTube. Strike one. It's got stupid-ass creepy music over it. Strike two. Ultimately, it's too fuzzy to see what the heck it is. Strike three.
It's hard to say how big the thing is, though it doesn't look very large. Of course, I'd like to know if they went up there and looked for tracks, etc. In the end, like most things, it's completely inconclusive either way. Maybe it's something, maybe it's not.

Yeah and birds tend to hop instead of stroll (or "strut" Yetifan). Also, if a vehicle is heading right at it wouldn't it just fly off? Its a weird one...
I've seen crows eating roadkill hop away when a car approaches and hop back after it passes. Hard to say if there's anything getting eaten there or not.

Depends on the bird and their effort at that given moment. Crows and ravens spend a great deal of time walking and not hopping.

Interesting. Pea Ridge isn't terribly far from where I had my sightings back in the early 80's in Alabama. Just guessing, but maybe 15 or so air miles. I noticed on youtube the person who posted the video said there had been other larger unknowns seen in that area. I've been to that community several times quite a few years ago, but I've never heard of anything in that area, but of course it's entirely possible that I just didn't hear about it.
I wish I knew more about it, as I wouldn't mind taking a look around that area.

If I had to put money on what it is, I'd bet turkey. Either a hen or a small jake. I'm fairly sure they've got wild turkeys in northern Alabama. I know for a fact there's a buttload in the southern part of the state!
Plenty of wild turkey in northern Alabama. The living breathing kind, and most likely the kind in a bottle too!

hey everyone wow this definetly a very interesting new filmfootage of a possible alabama sasquatch creature or primate indeed. it looks like a young sasquatch. but like say all the time more research study etc needs to be seriously done with out the jokes. but try to contact the people who filmed this animal for more question ok. keep me posted ok definetly. thanks bill

Perhaps it could be a vulture or "buzzard". They're pretty big, black, and will often wait until a vehicle is really close to them before taking off.

What I don't understand is the rest of the evidence...where is it? We can debate for months whether or not it's a BF or something else. If the person shooting this video say got out of the truck and looked for more evidence that might be convincing. And by the way, it didn't seem to move very fast, my five yr old moves faster than that. You would think they could have followed it into the woods! Sorry, I'm running on and on.
I am sticking with quail. It looks like it is a very steep hill and that gives the illusion of greater distance. Crow was my first thought but they would fly in that situation and it looks much smaller than a crow.

If any of you have ever hunted grouse, or seen them using sand roads to dust..well, then you would know what that is. You see it for just an instant "head on" then it turns, and the shape of the tail and body is pretty clearly that of a grouse or other similar bird(could also be turkey, as already stated..but I think it's a bit small for that). The way it walks and moves is exactly that of a grouse, and they love to use sand roads to dust.

Gosh, with that incredibly dramatic background music, and the " clearly" visible animal crossing the street, I am gonna have to proclaim this one as the "holy grail" of all squatch films... enough with the sarcasm... not worth the time speculating... could be literally anything.....
Just FYI. The MABRC has contacted the guy, and he explained everything over there.

I agree...that's why I'm here. I want to research with others and put an answer to BF. I just get a bit nuts when these "films" come out. If you where able to get the footage why "in this case" does it stop there? Very little to no additional information, why is that? ...sorry I'm doing it again...I guess in my way I'm trying to help the research by asking questions. The last thing I want is to slow down or stop any research.

I think that's a not-so-subtle clue to go "over there" to find out. However, I don't know where "over there" is...

I will be honest, there have been other sightings of something much larger and bi-pedal in an area near Pea Ridge here in Marion County. I personally believe in this whole indescribable "creature" now, and in that clear cutting has caused increased sighting possibilities over the years. I am adding the photo of the truck we were in when this all happened..

If one looks closely at the position of the "thing" on the road ahead, in relation to the position of the headlights just an instant later, it is easy to see that whatever it is, is about 10" tall! That's not even a baby bigfoot! The road looks wet and muddy. No mention of stopping to look for prints? This one smells.
