there is a semi-auto version that will drop a 30 round drum as fast as you can pull the trigger

not cheap though, around $3500

guy that runs gun store at range I go to has 4 or 5 for sale

I sure wouldn't use one during duck season, considering every place I've waterfowl hunted you are limited to 3 rounds and any shotgun that holds more needs to be plugged. It would be handy during an underground excursion through the sewers of some large cities and probably do a pretty good job of getting rid of oodles and oodles of rats with little problem.

My favorite part of the video is at the end where they show the little explosive rocket gernade. I imagine if you could get some of those that they would work in any 12 gauge shotgun.

I'd like to try a few in my Remington 870. I bet I could drop a medium sized oak tree, or wooley mammoth, with just a handful of those.

Keep in mind the shotgun only needs to be plugged while you're actually hunting waterfowl. The plug itself is just a little stick in the mag, and it comes out real easy.

Actually, the magazine must be restricted to two rounds for any "migratory" game. While that generally means waterfowl, these days, there are other species that would qualify for the migratory status.

Depending upon the shotgun's model and manufacturer, some magazine plugs are easier to remove than others!

Plus one in the chamber = three rounds.

But there's no way you're going to be overlooked walking into the field carrying a shotgun with drum magazine and not be checked.

It's really a military weapon.

I doubt any old hayseed would have that kind of money to buy one in the first place.

You'd be amazed at the amount of coin people are willing to drop on guns...Im no exception...guns are a weakness of mine. I didn't even bat an eye at the sticker price of the SIG P226(.40 S&W and then I bought the .357 SIG barrel new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif ) I bought a few years back and that handcannon was just short of a grand. I know a guy who drops well over 2-3k on a new gun...each year! I must admit though... one of my favorite guns is a 1947 M44 Mosin-Nagant(7.62x54R) that was given to me by a friends father last spring.

The drug lords in Baltimore should have little problem. They spend twice that much to outfit their Mercedes SUV's with rims and rubber.

Add another grand for a quick street modification to full auto, (reminiscent of the Intratec TEC-9 mods found on the street back in the eighties) and you've got the makings for a whole new definition of turf wars.

edit............and before I get flamed...........
Yes, I'm a gun owner
No, I'm not against gun ownership
Yes, I know drug dealers aren't suppose to be able to own weapons of any kind, or sell drugs for that matter,...............but they do.
In most cities they seem to be better armed than the police agencies.

I know a "hayseed" who dropped $32k on a .308 bored fully auto M-16, with grenade launcher (thing pachino in ending of scarface)

funny thing is, fully legal, and short if any waiting period......but you can bet your behind someone in the FBI now has a file with your name on it knowing you have it

Well, that's one rich 'hayseed' then.

From Dictionary.com:

hay·seed: [hey-seed] –noun

1. grass seed, esp. that shaken out of hay.
2. small bits of the chaff, straw, etc., of hay.
3. an unsophisticated person from a rural area; yokel; hick.

[Origin: 1570–80; hay + seed]

In this definition (3.) there is no mention of how wealthy a 'hayseed' may be, but the majority of them are not wealthy, by virtue of the fact that a 'hayseed' is an unsophisticated person, and by extension, an uneducated narrowminded, culturally unaware person, and it is assumed that such a person is not canny enough to make a great deal of money.

However, we all know that there are a many such persons who own their own businesses, and make a very healthy income.

I stand corrected.
