Here's what you want to do:
Go to the BFRO site http://www.bfro.net and file a report.
Give as good and accurate a description of what you saw as you can.
Estimated size of creature, color, hair--short, long, hair color, posture, arms, head shape, how did you view it--from the front, side, rear, speed at which it was moving, time of day, location, anyone else on the bus see it?, describe environment and type of trees in the immediate sighting area, etc, etc. What was your reaction to the sighting, both during and immediately following? Finally, out of personal curiosity, where is the hockomok swamp?
kid
k well hockomock swamp is in bridgwater massachusets most of the weird sightings are at this place called the"nip" wich is like half the swamp..the other half is where the bridgewater triangle lots of people got lost out there.the nip is like a huge pond, and theres lots of paths that go deep into it..i've been in the main path a few times and went fishing, but the path is like a half a mile from the road..i'll get pics of my terrain its like woods central i'll fill in that report..but hope my parents don't find out.

do i have to fill out the contact sheet ? my parents will like ground me and like they would be freeked if somone called me and asked about a sitein

More info on Hockomock Swamp, a 5,000 acre swamp Native Americans called "Devil's swamp" or "Place where spirits dwell".

Includes maps of the area and writeups of sightings/encounters, though not all are specific to bigfoot.

Jim, I see what you were saying last night.

Kid, it's 10:30 in the morning and I see you're here....got a day off school today?? wink.gif

Edited because sleep deprivation secondary to the FREAKING ANIMALS in this house is making me grumpy new_evil2.gif
kid
lol no i got today off, and also i'm homeschooled lol

To give a benefit of the doubt, it is Columbus Day. My kid does not have the day off today. They also go to a year-round school and just got done with a two week break. My bank and post office are closed today.... So....

Hey Kid: Show us what the schools are teaching you nowadays. Try not using the 'like' word too much. Maybe use this forum as practice for your English class. If you need help, just say that your not clear how to express yourself. Most of us are mature adults(somewhat) and will be glad to help out. You'll gain a little more credibility that way too.

Why don't you look at the BFRO site and then give a report here. Maybe one of the BFRO researchers can figure out how best to handle it without contacting you or your parents, or whatever you prefer.

Others: I know what your starting to think, but I'm just trying to give the 'Kid' a break.

Homeschooling's great if you can make it work, so that's great for you! I did it for a year with my son but couldn't make it work long-term. He's actually got today and tomorrow off, which would be great if the weather wasn't so completely lousy here dry.gif . I need a trip to the beach! cool.gif

Someone else here homeschools their kids too...Leeloo, is that you??

Stacy, I homeschool my five and six yr old. We discussed placing them in a private school this year, but couldn't handle the cost. One of the reasons we homeschool is that I worked at Oregon elementary schools and I couldn't believe some of the things that occurred there. I didn't want to put my child into that. There are some really great public districts here, do not get me wrong, ours is not. If we end up having to move because of the job situation, we will certainly take that into account.

I find that I do not fit in with any other homeschoolers because I homeschool for academic, rather than religious. The homeschoolers that do so for religious reasons, find it offensive that I am not using the latest religious curriculum. I also get frowned upon by the new-age type homeschoolers that find my curriculum is too rigorous. Then you have the rather main-stream homeschoolers who are threatened by the curriculum I use because it follows closely (although more rigorously) to public school curriculums. Shall I get into the anti-technology home and private schoolers? laugh.gif sorry!!!!

So far it has worked great for us. The girls are reading on grade level, love math and with the program I use, we get science, history, and geography, which many kindergarten and first graders do not get.

I am taking the homeschooling situation year by year and will do what it best for the girls. I have heard rumors that Intel is thinking of opening a charter school and I would be very thrilled with that! Can you imagine all the cool tech toys they would access too?

This has been way too long. I apologize, but I am sure if I simply stated that I home school, it would have led to a bunch of questions and I thought I would just toss it all out there and leave it.

Now back to the KID!!!!!

If and when you submit to the BFRO, you must understand that we make every attempt to contact all witnesses by phone. I will not publish a report unless I have spoken with the witness first. Most of the report investigators I work with do the same. I will encourage you to leave your number and maybe a time to call, but if you really do not wish to leave a phone number. Please leave your email. If a witness does not leave a phone number or email, we cannot contact them and I pretty much guarantee the report will be tossed.

Good luck and be nice to your dad!
