Two weeks ago, on a Thursday night, at around 7:30 PM, I believe I heard wood knocking in an area that is owned by Weyerhaeuser, behind my house, but miles away. In the past few years, I think I have heard wood knocking early in the morning a few times, as well as vocalizations (around midnight -2am), but those were in the Spring time. The earlier wood knocks I heard, were not as "thundering" as the ones I heard two weeks ago, but they were distant. And the vocalizations I have heard, have also originated from this Weyerhaeuser property, as well as another area of dense forest, near my house. But again, those were years ago and what I heard a few weeks ago, was very interesting/exciting.

The wood knocks I heard two weeks ago were very clear, but they were certainly far away into the forest (miles). They had that big, thunder-pounding noise that would echo, every 10-20 seconds. There was a beat/pattern to the knocks.

They seemed to sound like the "New Jersey Knocks" recording (in terms of the type of sound and the kind of distance):

Unfortunately, I didn't really think about recording the sounds that I heard and also, I didn't get to hear them for very long. In terms of conditions, it was dark outside and there was no wind at all. I doubt the sounds were of people building houses, especially, at that time of day.

Anyway, I'm not asking for a BF researcher's assistance or anything like that, just wanted to let people know about my (possible) wood knocking experience. I have heard of other BF encounters near/around the area I live, so I'm not totally surprised of what I heard two weeks ago.

Since then, I have not heard of anything unusual and will keep listening, every night.

very cool, do you live near the town of snoqualmie? My Uncle has a very nice home in Snoqualmie.. iI would not be surprised at all if there were BF all over that region..I spent my entire childhood at our cabin at Salmon La Sac.. but s a kid was terrified of the big guy..

Near Snoqualmie, yeah. Closer to the Pass, though. I have read of sightings up at Rattle Snake Lake and someone told me of a sighting at the Tinkham campground, so I know they are here and have been here for a long time. It's amazing to think/know that Bigfoot is in your backyard new_aacool.gif

UPDATE: 2/9/08

This morning, at around 6 -7 am, my father took a walk with my dog up into the Weyerhaeuser area and said that the dog was acting really strange and my dad smelled a foul odor, which he says it was kind of like a skunk smell, but something he has never smelled, before. It was difficult to describe. He didn't think it was a skunk. According to my dad, the dog was "stopping" a lot and looking around, cautiously.

My dad's first thought was Bigfoot, since I told him about the woodknocking I heard and the fact that people smell this foul odor, whenever a Sasquatch is around. He said it was too dark to see anything in the woods, but probably thought the Sasquatch was still there, possibly watching, or had recently left the area.

Now, my dad is open to the possibility of Bigfoot, but he's not a believer...however, today, he was really interested/confused of what he encountered.

I REALLY want to go camping up there now...
