I just came up witha great piece of equipment. What needs to be developed is a hat mounted camera that has a remote trigger that you wear like a watch. The instant the trigger sense heart stopage, the camera will snap a shot. A more reliable trigger could be a moisture sensor on the inner thigh.

You mean an increase of heart rate monitor/trigger?
Don't see how a moisture sensor would be more reliable, some people simply sweat more then others, and it wouldn't necessarily be because of an adrenaline rush.
They do have helmet cams or small cams you could mount on your hat-which could run continuously, with the right battery and speed settings, or a hand-held trigger you could carry or place attached to your sleeve for easy access.
Interesting idea though.

I was thinking excessive moisture of a type different than sweat, LOL.

To make the most of this already great idea, I suggest mount the tried and true used tampon to where it will swing directly above the camera. CAN"T MISS!

If you want to walk around the woods with a used Tampon attached to the top of your head... go for it.

As an engineer- both "triggers" you describe are already in existance and in use with various types of machinery but I dont understand what the design or benefit from the system you describe is for.
What am I missing?

Could it maybe be a joke

At least ONE company already makes a commercial miniature video camera that attaches to a hat. I've got their catalog somewhere, but since our recent move I have *no* idea where it is.

It may be a joke since I listed the thread as "For Fun"
The theory of the joke is that the reason people fail to get snapshots is because the panic and forget to grab their camera and snap a picture. Will if the Camera was panic activated.... Bad Boom badda bing image captured without having to remember to take the picture.
But yes I was feeling goofy yesterday and posted it all in fun, tongue in cheek.

Tongue in cheek or not there's a germ of an idea in there. Just thinking that a bio-activity trigger that might be employed is "blink rate", normally you blink every few seconds, but when you're startled your eyes will go wide and you'll probably miss a blink or two, before blinking hard and profusely to try and get your eyes to "work right" if you're not really believing them.

Yeah, I figured that from the
"...instant the trigger sense heart stopage, the camera will snap a shot. A more reliable trigger could be a moisture sensor on the inner thigh..." comments. However, the camera idea you proposed DOES exist....
