My mom just got back from a trip to a ranch in canada she visits every year. Her and her sister go up there, and they spend hours riding horses around endless aspen groves. They were pretty far out one day this week, when they stopped so my aunt could fiddle with her shoes. My mother noticed that her horse was staring intently into the dense forest, seemingly at nothing. My mother tried talking to the horse, to get it to look away, and then she saw something she described as "black and very tall" shoot across her field of vision, all the while making a huge crashing sound. She said it moved alarmingly fast, and described it's movement as "gliding", she made sure to point out that it was not lumbering like a bear. She gasped and told her sister to look, who turned right when the thing had vanished. Her sister said it was probably a bear (my mom tried to insist that it wasn't, she said it was way to vertical) and turned away, just as the figure shot back the other direction, again "gliding" and crashing through the forest. They got on their horses, and got out of there.
When they got back to the ranch, the other people staying there tried to convince my mom that she saw a moose or a bear, and mom had no other option but to trust them. She never once thought it was a bigfoot until just a few minutes ago when she saw me watching the PGF and said "That's what I saw! Right there!", at which point I asked her to explain the story to me.
My belief in this creature just shot up.
