OK, here we go! Following are 49 pictures I took at the symposium, museum, and BFF camping expedition to Louse Camp and Bluff Creek.

Since this thread will be kind of unwieldy for those on slower internet connections, please use the other thread for comments.

Just to prove to you all that John Green stayed at our hotel, here's a picture of his car! This is the same car we passed by the side of the road on our way out to Louse Camp on Sunday, so it's present condition and location are unknown.

Jeff Meldrum at the press conference.

Green, Gimlin, Chilcutt, and Fahrenbach. Yeah, pretty damned cool! (Oh yeah, there's Rick Noll over in the shadow.)

RB wearing his BFF [edit] shirt.

The line-up of speakers at the press conference.

There they are again, this time with Fahrenbach about to demonstrate how he can hop on one leg while singing "Yankee Doodle".

Dmitri Bayanov being interviewed.

Some wooden feet made up by Green to demonstrate to the press how hard it would have been for Wallace to make believable tracks. No one was interested in watching, however...

Paul (right) and Dermott (left). (One 't' or two? I don't remember...)

Fahrenbach being interview by a TV reporter. Poor guy had to be his own cameraman...

Part two coming up.
bipto
Part 2:

RB and Chester Moore, Sr. (earlier I said RB was standing with Smokey Crabtree. Don't have any idea what made me type that.)

Green being accessible (and getting mobbed). All the speakers made themselves available thought the weekend.

This is where a bunch of us stayed. Like I said before, don't make this your first choice.

Green delivering his keynote.

Bindernagel delivering his presentation. He's got a great book, BTW.

Noll delivering his presentaion. No Elks allowed.
That's Kathy Moskowitz and Alton Higgins in the background. (Alton told me he reads the forum, so "Hey, Alton!")

I see Meldrum, Green, and Bayanov out there and I think that guy with the glasses to the Northwest of Green is Jim McClarin. This was taken during Chilcutt's presentation, I think.

All the speakers.

Paul unimpressed with Fahrenbach's 90 minute magnum opus on skin and hair (and oh yeah, a little about sasquatch, too).

Gimlin retelling his Bluff Creek tale. The room was silent.

Part three coming later today...
bipto
Part three. The Willow Creek/China Flat Museum:

There's the Reverend Chris Murphy's model of Bluff Creek again...
(He's not really a reverend, he just plays one on TV.)

I tried to make it look like the famous frame, but this is the closest I could get.
(That model's pretty darn cool. Now that I'm looking at it again, it has me thinking about some of the stuff I saw at the film site...)

The symposium poster with signatures of all the speakers (and Danny  ).

Cast of one of Patty's prints made while Roger Patterson filmer her. This is one of the Gimlin casts. Note the mid-tarsal break..

Another view of Patty's cast. Must have been a pretty flexible foot that made that track...

I'm not exactly sure what this is supposed to be, but it's pretty funny...

Diorama dealing with the PG film. Note the 'perfect' casts made by Patterson and compare them to those made by Gimlin above. How do you suppose this was done if not by a real, flexible foot?

Grover's section.

Jerry Crew finds the first big foot track, casts it, and bigfoot is born.

More casts.
bipto
Part Four. More museum:

Here's a picture of a picture of the cast made in Skookum Meadows. Should be pretty clear now, huh? wink.gif

Bob Titmus, upon who's collection the museum is based.

Here's a bigfoot lawn jockey to put in front of your house...

Here's the famous statue. As you can see, it's seen better days.

That's Paul, RB, Fish, Tug, your's truly, and Titus in front of the sorry old statue.
JanV
Hey Brian,
Loved the pic of the BFF crew with the old statue. Fine looking bunch! I did see more than one BF in the pic. What size shoe do you wear? icon_really_happy_guy.gif (and no blobsquatches!).
Thanks for posting them. For those of us who couldn't get there it was great to peek in on the proceedings. Any pics from the camping trip suitable for posting?
Fishbone35
Well, here's a shot of the BFF crack investigative squad checking out the finer points of the Skookum Cast.

And can you believe it...they didn't find anything that hadn't already been noted. icon_razz.gif
Fishbone35
And unfortunately, our back-up squadron came under heavy fire and all were lost.

(Actually, a few made it out of the inferno but we tossed them back in. They went through hell I tell ya'.) laugh.gif
Fishbone35
Alright, here's a serious one. This was our camp at Louse Camp. Truly beautiful country. Sasquatch ain't stupid, this is an absolutely beautiful place to live. Sure looks different from Florida, I can attest to that.
Fishbone35
Here's a shot of Bluff Creek from Louse Camp. No bigfoot sign but we found a huge pile of bear crap! icon_eek.gif
bipto
Hey! No pictures outside the OFFICIAL pictures thread!!

Bad moderator! *Slap*

Guess I'll merge the two now...

Part five. Camping and getting there...

Tug and Titus in front of the Bigfoot Motel's...um...cage.

All this stuff...

Was put in RB's truck by these guys. The one on the left with the blue shorts was the guy who asked Gimlin to recount his encounter at Bluff Creek.

RB and Fish at the fire. (And yeah, RB's showing a bit too much skin - he did that kind of stuff all weekend!)

Tug grilling the small loaves of meat he called 'burgers'.

Beautiful Bluff Creek as it flows past Louse Camp (several miles from the film site).

Bluff Creek again.

Miscellaneous scenery.

Suicide mission across the bridge of fire.

part six. More camping.

Turns out I didn't get any pictures of the film site, only video...

Looking straight up from our camp site.

Down stream a ways from our camp site.

The foot print that wasn't. (It looked better in person, but still isn't a print.)

BFF caravan, moving out! On our way to the film site.

On the way back to the airport, we drove through some forest fires on highway 299. I think these are the same fires as seen from the plane as I flew out of Sacramento.
Fishbone35
Here's one that I thought was worth adding. The image isn't that good since I had to crop and enhance it but, what the heck.

The BFF crew are shown here giving Dr. Bindernagel some pointers. From left to right is RB, Bipto, Tugboatwa, Dr. Bindernagel, then behind him is Paul and behind Paul is his brother Dermot.
bipto
You know, looking at that again, I don't think that's Bindernagel. I don't remember the guy's name, but he was talking to us about the Marble Mountain footage...
bipto
Also, that ain't RB next to me...
Fishbone35
Okay, okay, you're right. That ain't RB. But are you positive that isn't Bindernagel? I'm probably wrong on that too. Was it a Monday when I posted that? blink.gif
bipto
No, it wasn't Bindernagel. I double-dog swaer.

My photos are a little out of order, but here goes.

On the Way to Willow Creek

Golden Gate Bridge

Bagoda - if you think this looks familar, you need to watch "The Birds" again.

Would you believe that we drove our VW camper van through here (it got a little stuck)

I kinda like this picture - it is a redwood tree if you couldn't guess

"The Legend of Bigfoot" - it is up for sale !
Paul1968UK
Willow Creek

Al Hodgeson - Al very kindly opened the museum up just for me on the Sunday morning and took the perspex cover off the Skookam Cast so I could take a couple of close ups.

This is Dr Leroy Fish's boot print - Rick Noll tells me he grabbed Leroy and pulled him clear !

This is the only part of the cast I could recognise - the heel and achilles tendon
Paul1968UK
Symposium Photos

Dmetri Bayanov and the foil hats that block Almasti brain wave transmissions !

Chris Murphy wants another two minutes !

Bob Gimlin silences the room

The Trip to Louse Camp

Our intrepid navigators consult the map

RB consults nature

Brian says its that way

I think I can see whats left of Danny Perez's RV !

Lets take another look at the map

The view - magnificent

Another map stop - brian is convinced by this stage that all GPS devices are faulty

They think they know where we are now !

The famous construction work !

I think the BFRO guys put this up
Paul1968UK
Bluff Creek

RB looking over his shoulder for a large primate

Brian thought this was very funny !

Steve Iness, who had been sleeping in the bed of his pickup truck

This gives you some idea of the size of the log jam in bluff creek

The footprint Tugboatwa found in Bluff Creek - the shale was too loose for a cast, which is just as well, since RB had left the plaster back at Louse Camp !

This is some scat we found, but were later told it belongs to a Black Bear

Here's me, pondering the imponderables...or maybe just getting sleepy. Hard to tell sometimes.
