Good luck looking saaz!
Paul, I think we were mostly in the same spot, very nice area. You're right about open season that's why we went up there when we did because nothing was open. Our belief is you walk through the woods like a hiker, not a hunter. I don't wear camo or orange, my thoughts are they see that as a threat and you won't get close. So we just bomb around like we don't know were we are and then return to our load and smelly camp! We found a nice clear ravine south of the swamp and river that we plan on camping in next time.

It doesn't appear that Bellaire is in a hotbed of Sasquatch activity. There was a fairly recent report from Charlevoix county, but not much has been showing up lately. Perhaps by just asking your question someone might have 1st or 2nd hand knowledge of something going on in this area.

B.Eisan there has been nothing reported in Antrim County, doesn't mean they are not there. Closest reports are in Cheboygan and Crawford Counties.
Cheboygan would be two or three hours hours to the NE from Bellaire.
Black Mountain Forest has activity...twice myself and one other have experienced "something" out in the middle of the forest. Plenty of reports dating back years. Crawford and Oscoda counties have had plenty of activity also. The above posts are specifically about the Mio area along the Au Sable river and the Foley swamp. I would say you will be about an hour or so away from Mio (Grayling). Go south on 31 to 72 and head east through Grayling to Mio. Good luck talking your wife into heading into the Foley swamp to look for BF. If she is like my wife you'll be going alone!

Thanks lookinginmichigan and Paulverisor64.
I'll look in to those areas more. Just I was curious about activity in the area and well figured as you mentioned Paulverisor64 that someone may have 1st or 2nd hand experience dealing with the area. I should be around there in may and as for convincing my wife into going to look for bigfoot, shes already told me she's all for it if it envolves camping and hiking. Thanks again.

B.Eisan, you might also check out the Manistee National Forest area. There are at least a few reports in the BFRO database, and a few I've heard that aren't.
ps. If you get into the town of Manistee, stop at the little restaurant/ice cream place right in the middle town, 'cause dang.

Hi
With the currant world economy and spending cut backs it's going to be pretty hard to come up with an entire Army, Is this going to be your basic war with guns and bombs or the old sword and Armour type thing ?
Peace

In the time of the Rapture, many will be taken. Those left behind, are the warriors of God. We will fight, the army called legion, sent from the depths of hell by gods son Lucifer.
Cain is the brother of Abel. Cain killed, Abel his brother. Cain is the creature misery, forced to wander to and fro within the earth endlessly. For Cain there is no sanctuary upon the earth, for the earth shall not yield unto Cain her power. A mark of disfigurement was placed upon Cain by God, for the murder of his brother Abel.
The Sasquatch creatures you are seeing, are the Clan of Cain.
Yeah whatever...

Hello to all that will lissen.... I 'am the original author of the 1984 Sasquatch Article.
Bummer, I missed talking to CodeBreaker. I was the one that posted your article here on the forum. I have a few questions for you... Does your family still own the land near Trout Lake? In your article you spell the name of the quarry Fibron as you do in your response when someone asked you what 1984 article you were referring to but it is actually Fiborn which is a combination of the last names of the two men who co-owned it William Fitch and Chase Osborn who subsequently named it Fiborn Quarry. My most important question to ask is have you been back to the house and what did you find? If you haven't been back are you adverse to going back? If you do decide to go back would you like to take some of the fine people on this Forum with you? I have purchased several satellite photos of the area west of the quarry along the old railroad grades and can't find the little clearing with the house sitting in the middle of it south of the grade. The images are several years after your experience so I suspect that the clearing has probably gotten overgrown. If you use Google Earth I suspect you can probably pinpoint it for an expedition. Unfortunately, I live in a long way away in Utah and finances would not permit me to come along but I would LOVE to hear all about it. Have you been in contact with any of the others that were with you since that incident besides your brother Daniel? If Brian and Patrick are still available would they go back too? The house sounds like the perfect place for gather evidence and place thermal cameras and other imaging systems to put the question of the existence of these creatures to rest once and for all.

Actually that's from
Beowulf. Grendel is described this way.
I read and teach it every fall.

...and when I give my lecture on the character of Grendel I always point out the old Scandinavian fear of giant trolls that could see in the dark, and the students usually say "He was Bigfoot!" and somebody laughs.
I just smile and say, "Of course he was!" and go on.

I live in Michigan and I've read stories of bigfoot sightings in the state, some even very near where I live which I feel is too close to the Detroit/Ann Arbor area IMO to be any kind of area where a bigfoot would go unnoticed. Anyhoo, not long ago it suddenly popped into my head that the Lower Peninsula is a Peninsula......what I mean, is I never really thought of it that way ( the mitten is the state and the upper peninisula is just extra). In everything I've ever read about bigfoot they're said to be nomadic and in a state that is surrounded by water, why aren't there more sightings along the Michigan/Ohio and Michigan/Indiana borders would you think? Also as is my understanding the state isn't known as being filled with caves as much as swamps, how would bigfoot survive the winters here?
