Go ahead and leave a comment. This should be fun.

I swear we have this exact same poll somewhere already, don't we? Maybe not...

I'd vote "I have no idea", but will pick the one closest t what I think at this particular moment in time.
Drew
Whoever wrote the first poll, (Bipto thumbup.gif ) left a lot of wiggle room in the responses. i.e. 'I think it's a sasquatch but it might not be', and 'I think its a misidentification, but it might not be' (Paraphrased), I present this poll in order to get some concrete answers, leaving only 'other' for an easy way out.

Basically it HAS to be one of these options

By this I assume you mean concrete answers as to what people think of the video subject, right?
Drew
Exactly, concrete responses.
dogu4
This question might bemore interesting if Morgoth (or someone else with similar skills) could clean it up and stabilize it is a similar way to the treatment he's given to the Tofino "humanoid" and Loch Ness vids.
damndirtyape
Hmmm, thought that had already been done dogu4 by White Wolf and me separately. Of course if you want to have a third party look at it…
Drew
Wait, I thought you were the third party
Party 1- The Bigfoot
Party 2- The videographer
Party 3- The DDA
Morgoth
Maybe DDA was in the suit!

I think that may have been his point. With this one, though, maybe we'll get 4th, 5th, and 6th parties, too. Can never have enough parties...

I think he was offering the option of having another party, uninvolved with the MD footage, LMS etc... to have a go at it.

It looks like a really tall person running.

Yeah, maybe one of the resident MDF afficianados could verify it, but I think the subject was about 5'6" tall based on most estimates.
LAL
5' 3" according to the analysis on LMS.
bipto
Yeah, but he puts 5'3.5" on his driver's license. icon_rolleyes.gif
LAL
She. icon_mrgreen.gif

The figure is bulkier than Owen Pate appeared to be in his reenactment. There seems to be some question about Lori's position, so the height estimate could be off.

A sasquatch would have to pass 5'3" somewhere between birth and 6'5" or 8-9', I'd think.

I was talking about the dude in the suit... thumbup.gif
LAL
How do you know that wasn't a "she"?
bipto
Please, I'm making this up as I go along.

Seems that the poll leader so far is "honest misidentification".

I'm a bit suprised at that because one thing I am sure of is that it isn't some ordinary Joe out for a jog across a hillside. It's either a sasquatch...or somebody pretending to be a sasquatch. I don't see too much room for anything else.

Why are you sure of that ?

In which case, since it doesn't quite match the typical Bigfoot report, the conclusion would lean toward a pretender
who hadn't bothered to read any Bigfoot reports..

..and who knew that there were people were in the field below. And who knew the people had cameras. And who knew the people. Were these people interested in bigfoot? Is there any theory about who was in the suit?

(sorry if I'm asking old questions)

Using my eyes. Doesn't look like a jogger in shorts and sneakers. Doesn't look like a paintballer. Doesn't look like a hiker. Doesn't look like a hunter. Doesn't look like a soldier. Doesn't look like somebody in a ghillie suit. Doesn't look like Spider-Man.

Who says it has to match the 'typical' sasquatch report? The 'typical' sasquatch report is of a 7 to 8 ft animal (male) who quietly moves off, with very little else to report.

Typical type of report doesn't equate to the only type of report. They have also been reported to do other things besides the 'typical' things.

I don't rule out a pretender. I simply have the opinion it's either a sasquatch or somebody pretending to be a sasquatch. I can't see it being anything else and certainly not misidentification.

Choice #4.

Misidentification.
Touchmymonkey
I think it's a hoax, but I have no way of knowing who all was involved or not.

Misindentification has the highest votes. What do you people think it actually was? A person? I do too, but a person in a hairy suit:)
RB
Whatever it was... it deserved to be shot with a .50 cal... multiple times... damn troublemaker... that'll teach 'em...

Women fainted... men gasped... cameras were whipped out... everyone yelled "Don't shoot!"...

Oh wait... that's what happened when I was caught skinny-dipping in the river... never mind...
KevinM
I'm confused. Exactly how is "A hoax played on unknowing observers" different from "An honest misidentification of the subject on the hill"?

One says the perpetrators were dishonest, and the other says the witnesses were innocent dupes.

YOU GAVE ME A MIGRAINE TRYING TO FIGURE THIS THING OUT!

Oh, the pain. The pain. headbang.gif
Drew
A hoax played on unknowing observers would mean that the runner was trying to make people think he was a bigfoot as he ran across the hill.

An honest misidentification would mean that the runner had no intention of making the observers think he was a bigfoot.

I don't understand your confusion.
