Full Version: Bigfoot Mating Practice?

MYM
I found this on another this thread board and had never heard of such a thing before. Figured I'd throw it out here tos ee what folks thought about this wackiness:

[The placement of the sticks indicate definate bigfoot nesting behaviour. I have read that when they are preparing for their season, they place sticks in specific formations such as this to allure the female bigfoot. The females cycles happen only once every 9 years and is innitiated by an exact air pressure which draws bigfoots to gather at its location so they experience their season in unison in a specific place.

A relationship has also been speculated between male drop stick locations and lay lines.

You want to stay out of them woods if theres a mating season about to take place smeagl...apparently there is only 1 female for every 8 males. By nature they are elusive and non violent but when a female is in heat their rampant behaviour has been noted to change the shape and colour of woodlands across the world. It has also been noted that males who do not find a mating partner get it where they can"

It's post #3 this thread Bigfoot mating and sticks

Now I am curious because this cat is throwing this out there like it's common knowledge. the ley lines make me think he is truly insane though. I mean everyone knows taht where you find Lazarus pits not bigfoot mating wacko.gif

Looks to me like someone over there is just pulling his leg. Sounds like they are just BS'ing him.
Devious Ape
IMHO, I believe that the mating practices would resemble other apes... Sound, scent, & physical stimulous.

My evidence? I have none. It is an opinion based upon what the closest related animals do.
sasquatchfound
With out any one taking this the wrong way, why do so many people refer to bigfoot as apes or any related specie's? No one on this earth knows what BF's are we speculate from 2,3,4,5,6 etc. hand reports it is possable that we may discover that they are a entirily different specie's. I'm not trying to criticize any one I'm just trying to understand how all of you think. help a guy out here please. thanks for your time
Mike U.
I think it's because a seeming majority of eyewitness accounts feature distinctively ape-like features. Long arms, hairy, face that has some ape-like features, certain sounds purported to originate from BF remind some of apelike vocalizations and so on.
Humans tend to try to associate unknown things within the realm of what they are already familiar with. BF has ape-ish features, hence the association.

It might be a whole new species. Who's to say?
Till then, if it looks like an ape, acts like an ape, sounds like an ape, it's an ape.

Not necessarily my opinion, just trying to help a guy out. smile.gif

You raise a very good point. But, without a body, body-parts, or other evidence to show exactly what they are, I use comparative biology. What animal is closest in physiology, habits, etc.?

If sasquatch is proven to not be an ape, then my hat is off to the person/team. Until then, I'll use comparative biology.

I hope this post does not come off as being argumentive, it's not my intent.
sasquatchfound
I don't take it as argumentive just having a conservation. thanks for the feed back

"Exact air pressure" & "every 9 years" like any animal or hybrid ape species or what ever Sasquatch is can tell the difference between 8 and 9 years. So if the barometric pressure is exact on the 9th year of the mating cycle they will follow the stick clues to be able to mate? Got it. Other than the 8 males to one feamale it sounds alot like my wife. (I know I just opened the door for jokes-a-plenty with that one) I also have a hard time with calling BF an ape. I don't know what to call it but ape just seems off to me.
Kucta-qa
Grover Krantz theorized that sasquatches my be like orang-utans in that they're colonies of females with one dominant male who wanders around his harem and... does the mommy and daddy dance.
Southern Squatch
"Ley lines"

Maybe they just spelled it wrong. Maybe they were infering that the male BF was "laying a line", as in shooting a line, to try and pick up some cute BF female he met at the local hangout. icon_really_happy_guy.gif

Actually orangutans do not live in colonies, they are completely solitary except for females and their babies. They are extremely territorial. A female's territory is determined by the amount of forest she requires to feed herself and her baby. A male's territory is much larger, overlapping several females' territories. Females come to him when they require his services, but he advertizes his presence by the following call:

http://www.orangutan.com/images/longcall-small.wav

So yes, I can see the similarity with sasquatch, which are mainly seen one at a time, or at most a mother and child. Orangutans will come together briefly in larger groups in times of food surplus. "Party time."

Yeah, just like the family of bigfoots living out back of a lady's house and they speak english and asked her for garlic.

Grizzley Adams had a beard
slewfoot
It could have worse, what would she have done if they demanded white truffles or capons?
damndirtyape
Just look for and avoid those large stone yonis. Heck with the stick stuff.

I like Dr. Swindler's "unidentified North American hominid primate".

Every nine years, huh? Well. that could lend a new interpretation to Muchalat Harry's story.

Sounds like just another myth from the UM board they have alot of people over who completely convinced alot of crazy things are true.
monkeyears
about the ape tag, they did a dna test on the tooth of a gigantopithicus found over in asia and this test
proved definitively that bigfoots or the class hominid are apes instead of human and i guess you could
consider all variations are likely actually apes which goes with their appearances, behavior and
living habits/ though i admit bigfoot is something very unique and special unlike regular apes,
gorillas and such, not meaning other primates arent important just bigfoot is something else entirely
in reality it would seem.

First off, it is my understanding the teeth were dated too old for DNA testing. Second, I haven't the foggiest about the rest of your post because nothing definate about bigfoot has ever been proven.. scratchhead.gif

Everyone knows the female bigfoot lays under a log and cries for help until the male bigfoot arrives to rescue her.
