The next meeting of the International Bigfoot Society is Saturday April 28th. An informal no-host dinner (good food) will precede talks with an opportunity to socialize at 6 pm, the talk at 7pm.

Thom Powell will present a slide show detailing his latest field research, some tentative conclusions, and a few future directions. Afterwards, Thom will field questions about his book, his current research, or his sanity. Humor and controversy are staples of Thom's presentation, and of course, he's always interested in
hawking a few books, so anyone who brings $20 can also buy a inscribed copy of his acclaimed book, "The Locals."

The meeting itself is free...bring your friends to "Home Plate," 8501 North Lombard, Portland, Oregon.

Everyone is welcome, come early to be sure and get a seat.

Info: Ray Crowe, Director I.B.S. - raycrowe@verizon.net (<-new email)

Do you know if this monthly meeting is still going on? I was going to be a part of last month meeting but I had a sudden change of plans.

Recently I viewed the IBS website.... It has been completely changed. No information on monthly meetings at all.

Uhm... hate to tell you, but you responded to a 2 year old thread. huh.gif

I don't think there are any more meetings, but I could be wrong.

haha, thanks for the thumbs up.

I saw the date on the thread. I was looking for Sasquatch groups last month and the only one i could find was the IBS one. The website said that "everyone who is interested in sasquatch could meet at blah blah blah place..." But just this month I returned to the website and discovered this. No info on such a meeting.

International Bigfoot Society

[Mar-07-2009]

Hello all,

Some time back the founder of the International Bigfoot Society (and WBS), Ray Crowe decided to retire.

I kept the website up until recently to allow people to access to what I think was a great resource for everyone.

As I am told, Ray sold much of his bigfoot items, including all the old Track Records. I was asked the other day to remove the website as much of it was Track Record data and no longer his.

This is about all the information I have, I am sorry I can not tell you more.

Best wishes to Ray and thanks to all of you that have supported the IBS and its website over the years.

Robert Murdock

Has the meeting moved? switched owners?

I was looking forward to talking about Sasquatch. Always been an interest of mine.

Maybe I'll start my own club with monthly meetings...In my garage. good idea.
