This probably belongs on the research page, but since it's not new research just a new way of viewing data I thought I'd throw it here.
This is a new functionality in ArcMap that I wanted to test out. The video shows BF sightings in Northern CA from 1950 to 2006. The data is taken from Mangani's Google Earth project. If the video was so compressed when it was loaded on Google Video you'd see that Audibles, Tracks, and Creatures were symbolized differently.
Aside from the fun factor the only thing I noticed was that the sighting cluster near the Strawberry area shows up pretty early.

I'd put the full sized video up for download so you can see it better, slow it down, etc but don't have anywhere to keep 8mb of video.

What databases are being used?

He's put together data from every database he can find online. Check out his work

Oh yeah, forgot to mention.. his data is nationwide so I can do this for any area and for any time period.

Wow, what a great job he did with this!
With seasonal changes it would lend well to patterns of migration. (Theory)
