From the International Bigfoot Society, Biscardi is the 2006 Bigfooter of the Year. Congratulations, job well done. But what did he accomplish in 2006? I guess he didn't get as embarassed as he did in 2005 (Loren Coleman chronicles the C2C I captured a bigfoot and subscribe to my website to see it flap), so that is a plus. Wonder how the former award winners feel about Carmine joining their ranks?

Follow the money.

I bet P.T. Barnum would be proud :mm: :mm:

You have got to be kidding me...
I would guess all of the previous ones are mentally deleting that reward from their bigfooting reume's...
What has happened to us?

Is it april 1st?? Holy cow. I guess we can sit and wait for "he who shall not be named" to be next.

This has to be a joke. Who heads up the IBS?

From the International Bigfoot Society, Biscardi is the 2006 Bigfooter of the Year.
Could you post a link - I can't see it for looking?
Melissa
I think I answered my own question. This is a sad, sad day for bigfooters if true. I would like a link to this as well.

At least the letters for the Society are fitting for Biscardi......I.B.S.

Maybe I misread this summary of the meeting tonight, but I don't think so.

Sure looks that way to me also. I would guess perhaps no "official" announcement has been made untill after the meeting?
If NOT..sure looks that way!

I'm not certain I understand how this works  . Bigfoot Times
When was Jeff Meldrum given the award?

Edited to add: I'd never really paid much attention to it before - but I remembered Tube had it one year and it appeared to come from Daniel Perez.

I disagree with Biscardi winning any award. But, let's face it. Whose face do we see in print more than anyone elses? I'm not talking on the bigfoot boards that we frequent, but I'm talking the major newspapers and news services. Sad but true, he does get all the coverage. Hell, he even made my hometown paper! The only story they've ever printed about bigfoot and his name is in there!

I agree Uffda, but only to a point.

Well, Dr. Meldrum published a book, that did receive good reviews considering the topic. Craig Woolheater put on a FANTASTIC bigfoot exhibition at the San Antonio Museum..

I think the type of press should be taken into consideration. Sure Biscardi has press, but is it press that benefits the research? No, not one bit - so what good does he do, other than help make the line in the sand larger between researchers and science? I see him as a detriment, and not someone we should be holding up as a shining example in this.

His kind on press I can do without. I was always under the impression Mr. Crowe was proud of his B.S. meter, he musta shut it off for this. Maybe Im being harsh, but this is just incredible.
JohnWS
This is what I'm trying to establish - are we talking the same "award" ?

"So compelling are the Crowley experiments that Daniel Perez, who chronicles the search for Sasquatch in his Bigfoot Times newsletter, named Crowley his "Bigfooter of the Year."

From Skeptical Enquirer Sept 2006

Hence my post of Bigfoot times 2006 with Jeff Meldrum on the cover. Somebody throw me a frikkin bone here  .

Well, what matters to me is people listen to what Ray Crowe says. It would bother me regardless of whether it was Perez's award or anyone elses.

John, I think they are different awards. Danial Perez, I belive, runs his seperately from Ray Crowe..although I could be wrong!
I know that Ray also gave Mary Green a great deal of credit a year or two ago(put her in his top 10,, I belive)..so his scepticals have been a bit fogged, unfortunatly, for a while.
And uff..I know what you mean..he's every place. But like Mellii, I don't think that kind of exposure is what should get you rewards.
IF this is even true...I have to wonder if the fact that Biscardi is now contributing financialy to the IBS, may have helped just a bit...
Just IMO, of course.
(edited to add..we still don't know for SURE if we are even reading this right..but still...)
JohnWS
True of course, but is having your name added to Ray's plaque in the same league as Daniel's naming of Tube (Matt)?

Sorry NW I missed your post completely my "True" was for Mel' - I imagine you posted whilst I was looking for info whilst replying to Mel'. Thanks for the info on the awards - they certainly seem seperate.

I agree - any kind of award or exposure for this sort of thing is bad.

Well, if you HAVE "irritable bowel syndrome"... see your doctor... but seriously, (almost)... I'm certainly glad when I brought the "Indiana Bigfoot Society" banner into my site ... Indiana Bigfoot Awareness, I quit getting emails from people pointing out that IBS had a negative medical connection.

I really don't know much about the "International Bigfoot Society". But from their site,

Well that sucks. I remember the Coast To Coast AM incident clear as day as I listened to those broadcasts with a keen interests as I have never heard of this Biscardi guy before. As we all know it turned out to be a bust and George Noory and Loren Coleman busted him.

I remember George telling those who have received a refund from biscardi to please email him and provide a follow up. Just the other month I called George Noory one night during open lines and asked if he had heard from anyone that received a refund and he said that no one had gotten back with him about it.

For this incident and others that I have read, I think Tom should be the recipient of the biggest clown of 2006 award.

Tom Biscardi wins the 2006 top Bigfooter of the year award from the I.B.S, the International Bull- Sh*tters Society... A job well done and deservedly so, I have yet to see B.S thrown about that well... ever. Rumor has it, Biscardi will be in L.A promoting his Pay Per View special, titled, " I have a found a Bigfoot Leg, and I'm not afraid to eat it!" Apparently, for $39.95 one will be able to watch Biscardi reveal his captured Bigfoot Leg, and promptly eat it after cooking it in a customized deep fryer.....

In all reality however, I think it is a joke to have him nominated for any award that even hints at his work as being positive for the Bigfoot world. The IBS has just taken a huge step back in my book of credible organizations....

Over the top maybe, but my comments surrounding the leg and the deep fryer pale in comparison to the idea that this man could be nominated for such an award. He is a joke, an even bigger joke than my sarcastic twist on this fictional PPV event....and besides, its always exciting the poke fun at Tom B.

From the IBS Notice:
"Larry has updated our memorial plaque, 'Bigfooter of the Year,' with Tom Biscardi, recent guest speaker and financial contributor to the Track Record."

Tom Biscardi's organization deals with large amounts of money. I've met Tom; the vice president of his current organization used to be one of my close friends. He left town to travel with Tom and I haven't seen much of him since though he still owns property next door to where I live.

Their organization is all about getting people to donate money to finance their travels to places where people claim to have seen Bigfoot. With the money they raise they've bought expensive equipment - I know because last time I saw Tom in Jan 2006 he was telling me about his new purchases. Tom is a promoter and probably wouldn't be doing this without the money. As I remember it, I heard that he dumped the Great American Bigfoot Research Organization the day after they gave him ten thousand dollars, because he didn't think they gave him enough. Last I heard, Tom filed a lawsuit because they kept some property he considered to be his.

All the publicity he goes after helps him find new people to fund his activities. It is a business, not just a research organization.

So now we know something new about the IBS... it appears that respect there can be bought.

Yeah, Tom Biscardi is the man! Him and his Searching for bigfoot Inc. Crew joined me and the S.B.R.U., Sasquatch Bigfoot Research Unit in Greencastle, IN for some surveying at the end of 2006. He is a great man, and my team is so glad that he was named bigfooter of the year!

I am happy that a person has taken interest in your group and obviously helped you in your research.
I also admire your loyalty.
However, you may want to do some serious research regarding some of the things Mr. Biscardi has done that have been really detrimental to this field of research.
By associating yourselves too strongly to Biscardi - you are in danger of his reputation sullying yours before you have a chance to prove your own worth.

Free advice - and all IMHO of course.

Indiana Sasquatch Research,

'Rockinkt' is right about this. I had Tom come to our town too and took all kinds of flack from people because of that. I finally walked away from him and his organization but it took a lot of strength to do so because one of my close friends became Tom's right-hand man.

I guess the last straw for me was close examination of some of his photographs (also used in some of the movies) especially the one that looked like two or three Sasquatches sitting behind bright green leaves, eating what Tom calls "entrails or something". It looks like a human foot, as I recall, and also looks like some human skulls are there too. Apparently that photo is no longer on the web but if you have his older movies there's some footage of it in there I believe. I met Peggy Marx who was one of the people responsible for the photos, and I never had a reason to suspect she was anything but sincere, but this particular photo was so unbelievable it made me lose confidence in Tom. And there were other things bothering me about him too.... the Stagecoach Nevada disaster being one of them... and broken promises, and general attitudes, and behavior.

Now I'm not going to give anymore bandwidth to this person. I have my reasons. I recently took all mention of him off my Bigfoot site and will not be restoring any of that information.

Just wanted to post up about the weekend in Paris TX. I was there myself with the research group that is based there at Pat Mayse Lake and we were to 'assist' Mr. Baiscardi with his efforts. Being that my group has hunted that area for several years now with lots of intel on where to go and the behavior of the Bigfoots there..so our help was appreciated by Searching for bigfoot. Saturday night was definently a rainy, hair-raising night. :new_weirdsmiley: I am going to recap a general senario of things we experienced and the plan we undertook as soon as I get the events rethought out. I will add that while Searching for Bigfoot had a great agenda, while adding more manpower to the hunt, I observed several things done wrong or seemed be rushed and not thought out. This is clearly my opinion so I hope to not step on anyones toes. I dont like to make judgements of someone or their group based on others posts, so I am glad I was there to experience things for myself.

I'll be post a little more on our outing very soon...Stay tuned..

If you check out the Biscardi May roadtrip report from Minn., you can read his allegation that Dr. Meldrum traded a fake casting to a fellow. Thomas claims that the casting sent to the gent by the good doctor was a fake. Thank goodness Biscardi is out there looking out for us all and exposing the fakery and less than honorable activities when he sees them. In a related report, a workman was seen removing all the mirrors from the Biscardi home and the pimping for bigfoot convoy.

What a joke, this is the same guy that claims bigfoot is lurking in the hills around Gila Bend, Arizona. In yet another related story, the high in Gila Bend today was 110... It hasn't rained there since February.... Sounds like a perfect place for a 8ft tall hairy man beast to spend his summers....

tom Biscardi , i can't figure out how this guy is so big recently he was researching an incident in SC thats been in the news and says that bigfoot are migratory but in NO research i have seen says that they are especially because he is saying they go south for the winter but the only things i came up with is that they go further in the woods during the winter but do not migrate, also i am confused about the three toed bigfoot which he stated bigfoot have three toes, i donno i think he makes us all look bad, also he's a big corp. guuruu.

hey if any of yall want to check out this new and growing website with lots of BF info its http://sasquatchtrakker.wetpaint.com also become a member of the growing community for free we're trying to spread the word so please help us it would be greatly appreciated
