Well... after all these dream story's I thought i'd throw in a post. Even though I haven't had a bigfoot dream, I do have some pretty cool dreams. I seem to be able to pull weapons out of thin air in my dreams, which comes in very handy lol
Matrix style I suppose, I put my hands behind my back and when i bring them back around i'm armed. No weapon malfunctions either, weapons are strictly point n shoot and they work just that way lol empty gun? no problem aim and fire lol
Well anyway, last cool dream i remember is I was standing aboard the Enterprise, on the bridge and it was being boarded so I whipped out a phaser and went to shooting at the bad guys and destroying as much of the bridge as possible lol
not sure how, but in a blink I was on a shuttle craft, flying outside the ship with a romulan decloaking in front of me and a 2nd warbird turning to starboard on my right side. I tried firing the shuttle's phasers at the turning warbird but they was offline, so, I did the next best thing. I rolled down the shuttles passenger side window, leaned an arm out the window and shot it with my hand phaser

You'd be suprised at how well a hand phaser works against a capital ship, not to mention not being sucked out into the vacum of space as the window rollled down

Man, these sighting reports have kept my nose glued to the screen to the point my eyes are going fuzzy.

I just knew getting back into the bigfoot arena wouldn't be good for my health.
I've also started having bigfoot dreams again...

Last night I dreamt that myself, my wife, and a friend, were trying to take a shortcut in a 4x4. The friend and I had gotten out to clear some debris, when I heard an approaching thumping noise. Sure enough, bigfoot comes running along, about 30-40 yards away, running from my right to my left. My friend and I stood rooted to the spot, but as the bigfoot ran past, I started whistling at it. That was followed by me shouting at it in an attempt to get its attention, much to the horror of my friend and my wife. That's the point that I woke up, but it makes me wonder.... Do other forum members have vivid bigfoot dreams?

After every outing that I go on, my wife will not let me sleep in the bed for the following two nights.
I feel as though I am still out there... I whisper as though something is out there. I talk to my buddy to make plans to move through the woods.
The latest after coming back from the BFRO WA Expedition.... woke up from my dream and was hearing something walking around my bed, remember dream of following the footfalls that night on one encounter while on the expedition.... and following it around the room.... with the wife who thought it was out of my system... telling me to go in the other room. I will not be constantly awaken by you freaking out that there is something around the bed.
I have dreams about them all the time. I SEE BIG PEOPLE
Glad to know that this is normal among BF'Rs.

I have to share this with you... this one happened to me last night, did not want to wake from it but damn alarm clock.
Was part of an expedition and there were about eight others in the group. On the way up to this spot I kept having these feelings that we were being watched from a distance and would watch the far ridgeline. We had hiked into an area of known activity an were setting up camp in about a four acre meadow.
For some reason I had set up my tent within one of the larger ones, can't figure this one out. It was getting late and I was one of the first ones to turn in for the evening and QuatchWatcher you were there, man, can't figure that one out either, must be your electric personality

....back to the story.
I was awaken by the chitter chatter of the others in the large tent outside of mine. As I was getting comfortable to continue my slumber, I got the smell of a damp, musty, not nose burning smell

, I knew what it was as soon as I smelled it. The others so busy with their conversation never got wind of it. I turned over onto my stomach and watched as this human shape shadow walked towards the zipper part of the tent.
Then it asked the chattering guys "Where is Mel, can you tell me where he is?" I freaked, what the he**, why is it asking for me. The two chatty guys then noticed that it wasn't from our group and got silent. Then it asked again "Where is Mel?"
That's when the alarm went off  and tried so much to go back and finish that dream....but as I was waking up, We had seen the shadow bend down and reach for the zipper.
Maybe the alarm saved my life....

This is an interesting topic, because after the Wa trip I have had nothing but "in the field dreams." Sometimes I have the b*lls to approach, and sometimes I have a scooby doo foot scrabble where I can't get away fast enough. Strange how an experience can change your stream of consciousness.

Without going into detail, Most recently I have had two vivid dreams in which I had encountered two Sasquatches, don't really know why? but in both I had this overwhelming feeling that each dream represented something of great significance and importance? aside from the initial excitment "wow I just had a BF dream" I also felt a sort of calmness.

I have never had any dreams about Bigfoot, funny thing that I haven't because IM almost into it 24/7, have bunches of books, etc., and am reading most of the time when IM idle ... It's a wonder that I don't have nightmares.
Have a friend who has had them though, dream that is, not nightmares. He wasn't into Bigfoot but I kinda got him interested. Got him to watch some things on television, etc. Saw him later and he said that he had a dream about Bigfoot. He saw two of them and then he woke up. I would too I imagine.

Don't know if I posted this already in this thread.
I was doing a presentation at a local school and afterwards had this girl who was interested in the subject. We got to sharing stories and out of the blue changed the subject on me.
She asked," Do you dream about them?"
I didn't know her so I said "NO"
She asked the same question
Again my reply was 'No'
Then she went on to tell me.
"You ain't doing your research right, if you truly are out there looking for them, then they will come to you in your dreams, it will show that your heart is in what you do".

I have had one bigfoot dream. A couple years ago I dreamt that I was in the woods and running from something crashing through the brush towards me. I was scared shitless and I kept running until I came upon a large fallen log and I threw myself into a hllow between the log and the ground and laid there as I watched this huge squatch leap the log and stop only feet from me and it began to look around. It's eyes tracked around and it started walking away, looking back and forth, and I started to relax a bit. Then it whipped around and looked directly at me, roared, and ran at me... then I woke up, actually crying, which woke the wife up. She asked what was wrong, and I just told her that I had a terrifying dream, and we held each other as we went back to sleep. Women are great that way. I recommend them to every guy here. Hell, get two of em if ya can.

I often have horrific dreams that scare the hell out of me and shock me awake. Love 'em.

My wife said she had a sasquatch dream last night. She said she went with her parents to a museum that had a sasquatch display in the form of a house. As they went in, a crowd of people came running the opposite direction, screaming that the thing was alive and was sticking its arm out the window. My wife and her parents proceeded inside, where my mother-in-law invited the thing to our house for supper. He accepted. When she told me this dream, she did say that it was more of a human giant that talked, but that the museum and the screaming crowd identified it as a sasquatch.
BTW, my wife is on the fence about sasquatch existence. I don't really get believed, but at least I don't get mocked.

i had one a while ago; I was in my house in the kitchen with my family, when we suddenly 'knew' there were a bunch of BFs outside. Looking out the window, we saw them meandering around, not noticing us or the house at all. I proceded to go after them with with an air gun, but luckily i woke up. id rather not find out how it ended hehehe

Ok, I've been aware of this thread for a while but admit I haven't been particularly drawn to it -- only because I have little time when I visit the forum and usually can only check in on a few of the threads running that I have a specific interest in. In other words, no snub, just a matter of targeting.
But two nights ago I had a Bigfoot dream that left me literally shaking in bed, and the next day I remembered this thread. So here goes:
First off, let me say that like probably all bigfoot advocates I do have occassional sassy dreams. In the past they've been -- well -- dream-like. You know, pretty fantastic and sometimes downright surreal. That's the nature of most of my dreams, anyway. I'm not one of those "realistic" dreamers, though I have had my share of kickers that surprise me when I wake up to find that they were only dreams. This one was unlike any other BF dream I've ever had, because it was absolutely, positively real to me at the time (I was NOT aware that I was dreaming. In other words, this was not a "lucid dream").
The dream lasted probably no more than 10 seconds. It was like a flash of reality that caught me totally unprepared. I've had similar dreams in my past (short and extremely powerful) about other subjects that have actually turned out to be somewhat precognitive. I can only hope this one turns out to be.
The first thing I was aware of in this dream is that I am at the wheel of my car and already at a dead stop on a 2-lane highway. It is obvious that I have just slammed on the brakes just short of hitting a figure standing directly in front on the car. It is broad daylight and I'm aware that there is a sheer drop-off on the right side (very similar to the road Devorak and I traveled just last weekend near the Mogollon Rim). I sense that there are cars coming up from behind me but they are a ways back. I'm trembling with excitement and fear because what is standing in the road, not 10 feet from the front of the car, is a very powerful looking Bigfoot creature and it is staring right at me through the windshield, not looking very happy. I am pounding on the dash over the top of the steering wheel with the palm of my right hand while yelling at my son, who is apparently in the back of the car, to "get the camera --- get the camera --- get the camera!" I'm shouting this, barely able to control my voice, as I'm gazing back at the BF, and I'm terrified that it is going to run off before Trevor gets a picture AND just as terrified that it is going to do something very destructive to our car and us (the facial expression was not really mean, but it "meant business".) I think I was slapping my hand on the dash loudly to keep its attention, hoping it would not turn and leave.
I remember very clearly that it's stance was a defensive posture, with its knees slightly bent and its long arms somewhat outward, as though preparing to spring forward -- but it was facing slightly away, toward the sheer drop off.
As I am shouting for the camera, I'm also (somehow at the same time) making a "blubbering" sound that I can only think comes from the deep fear I was feeling. In fact I think it was this sound that actually woke me up, as I woke up trembling and shocked that I was in bed instead of in the car.
Now for the description, which was not what I would have expected in some respects. It was huge (not surprisingly) - maybe 8 feet tall -- and thickly built like Patty. But the hair was much thicker and of an orange-red color. The hair around the face, too, was thick and even the face itself had some (shorter) hair. The head was less pointed than Patty. The eyes were like lazers. Not so much that they were bright, but they burned right through that windshield and directly into my soul! It struck me that it was so fixed on me, and it scared the crap out of me. The mouth was partly open, showing some teeth, but it was not a snarl, more an expression of displeasure. I really did have the feeling that it was trying to decide whether to run or do us harm, and I knew that trying to keep its attention was a big gamble.
All this, mind you, in the space of about 10 very terrifying but exciting seconds. I awoke before anything further happened -- and the image of that big hulk stayed with me all day without fading -- as did the "emotion" of it all.

I'm relieved to find out I'm not the only one who experiences these dreams. I've been having SAS dreams since the age of 5. I'm 35 now and they don't bother me anymore but up until my mid twenties I consider them nightmares. The odd thing about these dreams is that I have never seen SAS face to face. It will have it's back to me or be too far away or be shadowed. Several dreams I experienced when I was a chid I still remember vividly today. I average 2 to 3 of these dreams a month, one dream I've had "reruns" several times.
Or do I just need to be heavily medicated?!?

I had a really fascingting bigfoot dream lastnight that went a little something like this. I recived word that there were several sasquatch sightings at bluff creek so me and some other people who i'm not exactly sure who they were decided to drive down there to have a look around. When we got there four giant bigfoots crossed the road infront of us but I didn't have my camera ready to take a photo

. I got out and looked around the area and saw a whole bunch of signs but didn't see any of them though. After looking around for a while we ended up by the creek and one of the people I was with had to leave for some reason and decided to leave there video camera with me by the creek because I decided to stay. As I was sitting there by the creek staying low out walked several sasquatch across the river picking rocks and looking under them going on there way. I quickly turned on the video camera and went into the creek with only my head sticking out of the water so they wouldn't smell, see or hear me lol, kind of like the water made me invisible to them

, then came several others with me video taping them the whole time. Imagine that though a whole tribe of sasquatches on video at bluff creek caught on video

.
This is the general outline of the dream, I can't seem to remember all of it clearly since waking up this morning. The thing that most fascinated me about the dream was how very human-like they were and how large in size. It was also weird how they where covered in black hair except for certain spots were there was just skin and no hair, the skin was a very odd gray color.
It's funny I woke up with my heart beating very fast all excited thinking that I had just taped the new pinnacle of sasquatch footage outdoing the patterson film, yet in reality I'm just laying on my couch at 3:00 in the morning

.

ok i guess i should post mine
this dream was funny although i was freaked out at the time and it was something like this
i was trying to get to sleep in my bed when i heard something outside, i passed it off as the wind then it hit my window. i got up and grabbed my sword then ran into the living room, for some reason my dad and brother were watching tv. i asked them if they heard anything and i think they said yet, i asked them if they were freaked out and my dad said "im not stupid who wouldn't be." or something like they anyway (dont remember every word). then bigfoot smashed open our door and came walking over to us, my dad just walked by him like he wasn't even there and just kept walking away. he came over to my brother and asked if he could stay and watch the movie (

). and my brother said yes, then just before he sat down he freaked out and died in the living room. my brother acted like nothing even happened.

I once had a dream (When I was 11 or 12) that I was being chased by a Sasquatch in the woods! It was daylight, the ground was very flat, w/ huge trees. Sasquatch kept chasing me, letting out a terrifying scream! I ran, and ran. I finally managed to find, and climb a hill. Sasquatch stayed down the hill and kept screaming but stopped chasing me. Instead it ran in circles like it was crazy. I found a rifle (just laying there, at the top of the hill) and aimed it at the circling (almost dancing Bigfoot) and fired! Sasquatch went down! It was all quite, when another scream came from the woods! A female screaming! I look down the hill and see Peggy Marx running to the downed creature. She rips the head only to reveal it was a mask! and inside this Sasquatch costume is Ivan Marx! (yes, I just shot Ivan Marx!) Peggy cries holding the dead Ivan in her arms, screaming "Murderer!" It a rush of emotions for me "I... I... didn't know it was him!" I say "I wouldn't have shot if I knew it was him! He was chasing me, and I was scared!" I yell down to the hill. Peggy continues to cry, sobbing, and screaming. I try to figure out my next move, when boom! I wake up...

Okay for the second time in less than a week, I have had a BF dream. Last night's dream was pretty vivid. I should say that a medication I am taking has a side effect of giving the user vivid dreams (or nightmares). Last night I dreamt that National Geographic had sent out a search team, that wound up videotaping a sasquatch walking along a snow-covered ridgeline. The video was in my dream and it was very vivid. You could see every detail on the creature. The rest of the dream got a little confusing and sort of broke-up into other dreams, like dreams sometime do. But one fact I remember from it was that, just like the subject of the PG film, a nickname was given to the creature. It was called "Rene".

I borrowed some BF video tapes from a coworker last week. They contained mostly older "In Search of" programs, the ones with the younger mustached Leonard Nemoy. Also included were several A&E / Discovery channel programs with the required interviews of Grover Krantz and Peter Byrne most of which I had seen years ago. The one feature film in his collection was none other than The Legend of Boggy Creek. I remember seeing the movie trailers for this when I was in my early teens and have seen it mentioned in these forums but never took the time to seek it out and watch it. Last night I seized the opportunity and viewed this classic.
I particularly enjoyed the corny disney-like musical interludes. "Ohhhh, I'm just a lonely horney swamp monster......etc.." (ok, they didn't use the word horney it was just implied.)
I know, I know this is a dream thread, I getting to that. After watching this movie with the harry bipedal creature tramping around the porch and reaching through windows I was primed for BF dreamland.
I wish I could remember more of it but the theme of my dream was that I was running around trying to get other people to run from the creature but they would not listen to me. Grandma just stood there making biscuits or something I finally got to a car and took of with the fouk (fook, faulke, fouak, fouck aww what ever) monster chasing the car I was driving.
Not too detailed but still a legitamate Sassy dream.
I wonder what Sigmond would have said about Bigfoot dreams?

Since we're all sharing the only time I ever dreamed/had a nightmare with sasquatch in it was this week. In the dream my g/f and I were camping in the GPNF and the squatch visits. All the normal threatening stuff on the outskirts of camp, knocking, growls, loud pacing, of course she doesn't believe in it, and I'm always on the fence so we don't leave. The thing comes into the camp and she starts screaming, which makes the creature turn towards her, but away from me. Obviously this is a dream (not saying I would be any smarter in real life though) so I jump at the things back and try and gouge it's eyes. The last thing I recall before waking up was the thing turning on me and me reaching for my sidearm.
Now I don't read too many bigfoot reports right before going to sleep anymore. lol

I have had two Sasquatch dreams that just happened in the past week!
1. The first one I had, we were driving down the road beside a hill that slants. The hill goes for miles. So after a while, I look out my window and low and behold, I see a Sasquatch walking up the hill, climbing all of the huge bolders. I told my dad, "Dad Stop, I see a Bigfoot!" Then my dad said, "Yeah Right"! And then I said, "I'm Serious!" The he just ignored me, and I couldn't make him stop to look. After that we past by the Bigfoot, and I woke up!
2. We were driving down a road.(again) And this time it is my dad who points out Sasquatch. He said, "Look over there! What is that?" We all look, and I see the figure and knew it was not a human and it was not a bear, or anything like that. I screamed, "IT'S A BIGFOOT!!!" We got out of the truck, and seen him walk near us. Then, on the other side of the wooded area were people who loaded up a tranqulizer and shot the Bigfoot. It fell asleep, and I walked over there and told them to leave it alone, but they didn't and they loaded the Bigfoot on their research vehicle, and sped away. Then.... I woke up.

I know it's been a while since anyone posted to this thread, but I thought I'd share my bigfoot dreams. I can actually recall two specifically. The most recent was just a couple of days ago. I've really been getting back into BF research lately, thanks to a visit from my twin brother three weeks or so ago -- he had returned home from Japan, on leave from the Air Force, before he was to transfer to Korea. He has been intently following the latest on bigfoot sights on the BFRO and TBRC sites and others, and his re-telling of sightings got me interested again.
Anyway, this dream that occurred a couple of nights ago was one of those brief ones. All I remember was that I was staying in a house by myself in someplace like Wyoming or Montana. I've never been to either state, but somehow I just "knew" that was where I was in my dream. You know how that is. Anyway, the house was unfurnished, as I had just gotten there. There was a sliding glass door from the living room onto a patio that was surrounded on three sides by the house itself, forming a little courtyard with one open side. It was late afternoon in summer, say 6:00-7:00 pm, judging by the angle of the sunlight in my dream. I was sitting on the floor, and something caught my attention. I looked up and there was Bigfoot, standing on the patio looking in the glass doors. Its color was slightly darker than a deer's coat, and the hair was long and shaggy. The face was also a tan color, and it had piercing yellowish eyes -- but not glowing. That's all I remember, because I then woke up from the fright.

I hope if I ever do really see a bigfoot, I will be able to recall its appearance as well as in that dream.
The second dream I have to tell you about occurred about 5 years ago. My twin brother was stationed at the nearby Air Force base then and he and I were temporarily staying with our mother until we got our own places (I had just returned to south Georgia from Atlanta after my Dad died). My brother liked to party a lot back then, and got home after we had all gone to bed. I was sound asleep, when in my dream I heard a noise at the window. I don't know what I was dreaming before, but immediatly my dream turned to bigfoot. The sound at the window became a bigfoot trying to get in, then successfully breaking the window. A big black shaggy arm thrust through the window as the glass shattered, and I screamed. :willies:
At that point I woke up, sitting up in bed, the scream echoing in my mind. My brother was tapping on the window to let him in, since we had forgotten to leave a door unlocked for his return. "Did I scream out loud?", I wondered. I went and opened the door to let him in, and my brother was laughing. Yep, I screamed like a little girl, and he heard me. It was so loud that I found out later that morning I had woken eveyone in the house! The shame!
The interesting thing was that this scream was very, very high pitched. I have tried since to repeat it, but I can't. All I can say was that I was truly terrified in that dream, and that the scream I let loose must have been some kind of primal fear response. I suppose the only time I'll ever scream like that again is if I do really see a bigfoot and it's coming at me! If I see one from a distance, I'll probably just say, "Oh, s***," and quietly hide, preferably in the trunk of a car. They scare the crap out of me, which I guess makes this nearly 40 y.o. guy look like a wuss, but, oh well. I guess I watched way too many of those sasquatch documentaries in the 70s, and that docudrama "Sasquatch: The Legend of Bigfoot" that my older brother took us kids to see at the local theatre didn't help any.

Even so, bigfoot still fascinates me like nothing else.

Okay, its time for a short break, I think. Couldn't sleep last night, stayed up till almost 6:00am reading BFF.
After I finally did get to sleep last night (this morning!) boy did I have some weird a** dreams! Let's just say it involved an infomercial, to which I responded, that advertised your very own Sasquatch Field Researcher's Kit, for the low, low, LOW price of just $149.99. Act now, supplies are limited. Allow 4-6 weeks for delivery. Kit includes a postage-paid card to request shipment of study subject.
Boy, that box was big and smelly. Family wasn't happy with all the huge piles of squatch poop in the yard, and made me clean it all up. Somehow, I was 12 again in this dream.
I'm sure Freud or Jung have something to say about this. I just don't know if I want to hear it.

Had another sasquatch dream last night. I was with a bunch of researchers (none of whom I knew), standing on a cleared trail in a forest. I was looking down the trail when I saw a squatch step out of the forest several hundred feet away. Before I knew it there were eight individuals walking around on the trail - six adults and two juveniles. One even approached within several feet of me, and one of the researchers stroked her cheek (I somehow knew that one was female). They had reddish fur and were average human height; they looked like people in good quality costumes - somewhat resembling that BBC re-creation of the Patterson film, or maybe Chewbacca. None taller than six feet, and none with sagittal crests. I ran back to get my video camera, only to find that i hadn't brought any tapes. That's when I woke up.

I've had two dreams involving a sasquatch so far. The most recent one goes like this...
I was with some people who looked like bam margera and crew. We opened a door in the floor and climbed down a ladder which led us to an unknown forest sort of like a secret garden, it was an abandoned military area. Anyway, the place was very green like a lushious rainforest. Around a corner, either me or one of them spotted a creature wading through the river to cross it, the water up to its torso. It looked like a gorilla, but I knew it was a sasquatch. I couldn't believe it...then it started chasing me and it was huge, I ran into a house to escape.

I have a re-occuring dream about sasquatch. The funny thing is I live in a city of about 200,000 and thats where the dream takes place. It is set back when I was about 10 years old. All the neighborhood kids are playing in the back alleys that surround my old house, which is literally 15 feet away from my current house across the alley. I am outside my yard which is fenced in with a 4 foot high chainlink fence. I am no more then 10 feet from the fence because apparantly bigfoot make weekly visits and he is due. Everything is going like a normal day until the kids start scattering. I turn for the fence and step in a previously left print and turn into jello. The rule in the dream is this, in your yard you are safe, but step in a print and you lose like 90% of your strength. The way it ends, is just as I "roll" over the fence to the safety in my yard I wake up.
I have had this dream many many times and it ALWAYS the same.

I have had 2 dreams of BF.
1. It was about 11pm and I was out having my last smoke for the night with a friend that lived with my husband and I. I heard screaming and though it was BF but wasn't sure. I looked at my friend and he said that was weird. We both got done with our smokes and went in the house to go to bed. When I went to bed I left the light on. I had wooden shutters on the inside of the window ( which I thought was odd) that locked. One was closed and the other was open just enough to see if something was to walk by. The bed was below and to the right of the window. I was lying in bed when I looked at the window, I seen a very large figure walk by it. I threw the blankets over my head and hid. About 5 minutes later I peeked out to see a BF climbing through the window. It didn't look at me but turned around and locked the shutters. I started screaming. It looked at me and turned around, opened the door and went into the other room. Everybody else that was in the house ran into my room to see what was wrong. I told them what had happened, they laughed at me. Then I woke up.
2. When I told my Husband about this one he laughed at me.
My family and I was camping. It was a beautiful day My husband and son was fishing in the lake, my girls and I were collecting fire wood and getting evrything ready for dinner. My youngest daughter( which is 3) ran off into the woods. She was gone for about 4 minutes when she came back with what she said He was a friend. He was a young BF. It was about 4 foot tall and holding my daughters hand. He didn't seem scared of us and stayed with us that night. The next morning we was getting around to leave and He climbed into the Van with us like he wanted to go with us. We brought him home. I gave him a bath and started to teach him how to speek so he could understand what we was talking about. After about a week he started getting sad. I asked him if he wanted to see if we could find his family. He nodded his head. The whole family packed into the van and headed back to the spot that we found him at. At first there wasn't any sign of his family around. So we walked around the forest for what seemed about 3 hours looking and him calling out. Finely we came to clearing. There was movement across the clearing just in the treeline. The young squatch yelled and slowly moved toward the other treeline. We walked along with him. As we got closer we seen what we thought was his family. It was his family. He turned and looked at me and gave me a huge hug. Then ran to his family. The mother looked at me and nodded. Then they walked away together.
I have never seen a BF. But my dreams were very vivid. In both dreams the BF's were dark brown. The one in the first dream had yellow eyes and was about 7 foot tall. The hair was about 4-6 inches in length. The little one had deep brown eyes and had an innocent look in his eyes. He was cute. That is the only way I could put it. His hair was about 2-3 inches in length.

I've had 3 BF dreams that I can recall.
The first was about 10 years ago, and it seemed very real, because in my dream I woke up like normal.
Some loud thunder woke me up, I made some coffee, and looked out the kitchen window watching it rain steadily. I could see some movement at the back of our property, at the edge of the tree line. I looked closer to see if it was a deer, and was surprised to see a head smoothly passing behind the trees. As it got closer to the edge I could see it was a human head, and the person was very tall, because it was clearing the height of some of the saplings. It had shaggy auburn colored hair and a beard. Then I thought it was a tall friend of ours, and I remember thinking, "What's Kevin doing out in our woods so early in the morning?"
As he cleared the tree line I could see it wasn't a person, but a very tall, stout being covered in auburn colored hair. But it had a very human face. It casually strolled across our pasture, and continued on through the neighbor's property. I then woke up, and was sitting up in bed, staring out the window at the exact scene of my dream.
The second dream is shorter, and has recurred several times, with various people in it. In it a small group of friends/family and I are climbing a steep and dangerous cliff in a mountainous river gorge. The first few of us who reach this shady ledge are just lounging about resting and catching our breath. We hear some scuffling, like small rocks falling from over the edge. We assume it is the remainder of our group (the 2 or 3 stragglers) finally catching up to us. I crawl over to the edge to help. I'm either reaching my hand over or dropping a rope over to help, depending on which version of the dream I'm having. But as I peek over the edge, no more than 3 feet from my face, is a very scary and sinister looking pitch black sasquatch!
It apparently was climbing up on it's own, totally oblivious of us, and was as surprised of seeing me as I it! For some reason it is a female in my dream, and lets out a very cougarish hiss, real loud and slow ending in a throaty growl. That's where I thankfully wake up...
My youngest daughter recently moved with her family to Nashville, and that is where the 3rd dream takes place. In it her husband and his friends are building their own homes in a new developement, which is not much more than a cow pasture along a river. They are all living temporarily in trailers, and in half finished homes. It's summer and has been raining for days. My wife and I drive down to visit in a pickup with a camper, and that's where we sleep. We all go grocery shopping and when we come back it is sunny and dry. But everywhere, are huge footprints in the mud, and tracked through the half finished homes. I also see huge muddy handprints all over our camper. I ask my daughter about them and she calmly says that they are from "boogers" or "swamp boogers" something like that. She said they pass through now and then looking for food. She said they leave buckets of leftovers on the edge of the field for them, like eggs, or dogfood, cereal, corn on the cob. The next part of that dream, it's dusk and you can just make out their shapes drifting along the bank of the river in and out of the trees. I was kind of alarmed, but the others assured me they would stay away. In the morning I was shocked to see my 4 yr. old granddaughter talking to one through the screen door. It was like they understood each other. It was huge about 7 feet tall and bulky, covered with thick filthy snarled hair. But it had a kind face when looking at her, it seemed wary when it looked at me, as I was a stranger who was older, and looked much different from the other adults that lived there. Again my daughter assured me that they were safe, and I looked past it out the door, and could see the neighborhood kids playing in the field, in the sunshine right alongside them. Almost as if they were keeping an eye on the kids like babysitters, to keep them from going near the river. That's all for that dream.
I'm also glad to see others have dreams about Them. Come on Bill let's hear yours. We know you got at least one. (chuckle) mesabe

Another dream I had was climbing a bluff to go up and take a picture and enjoy the view. What happened was I was just about to the top, put my hands on the last ledge to get over, pulled myself up, and then looked over to see one standing there watching me, with my eyes fixed on its feet and ankles, I was too terrified to look up at it.
Awww, he was probably just going to give you a hand climbing those last few steps LOL. I had a dream recently. We lived way out in the boonies, and we had this wicked cool jungle gym outside for the kids to play on. I was in the house glansing up at the kids out playing one day, when I look up to a see a bear burst out of the woods right after the kids. I tried to get outside but I couldn't get the patio door open. I look up again expecting to see my children eaten and this huge squatch comes barreling out of the woods on another side and tackles the bear like a football player! Totaly king kongish! Anyhoo so I get outside to see the bear light off like his butt was on fire and I stop maybe 50 feet away from Squatchie who turn around and looks at me. I couldn't say anything and after a few second he just walks calmly back to the woods. The kids never saw any of it, too busy playing. I woke up and was like "COOL! BF saved my kids!" Then I realized we don't live in the boonies and there are no bear or BF in this area LOL. Pretty cool though!

Usually I just have dreams about being in the woods looking for BF and then seeing one. But what actually got me interested in the whole BF subject was when I was in elementary school. At an assembly we were watching movies and in between was some segment about monsters and they showed the P/G film. I was absolutely amazed and couldn't believe the possibility that a something like BF existed. That night I had nightmares about BF trying to get me and kept waking up in a panic, crying. I still can't figure out why they would show the P/G footage to little kids but it did get me hooked, although scaring the crud out of me initially.

I first saw what I now know as "Patty" in the 'Guinness Book of Records' as a child about 10 years ago, I must have been 11. Naturally, I don't recall what the record was for, but I do remember being sat in bed and I suppose I must have caught "bigfoot fever". There was something about the photo that even as a little kid, made me a little frightened, only because it seemed so real. Life went on, and I forgot all about it until late last year when I was watching National Geographic, something was triggered. I now realise a seed must have been planted all those years ago. Funny, how we remember little memories.

On second thought ............ perhaps I should first take some photos of the hairy thing instead of using the rifle scope.
I would imagine that it would be more humane to take some photos first ........ then use the rifle scope.
Wrong??

You know what I find so strange about the dreams is, at no time during the sighting did I ever feel threatened. Still, my mind played tricks on me and caused me to be terrified. I know we've covered this many times before, but I find it amazing that our sub-concious mind will let us see vivid things that make us afraid in our concious times.

I am glad that I am not the only one who has these dreams. This post that I quoted hit the nail on the head. Sometimes I will even follow it. I always wake up terrified though.

After last year's encounter, I had extreme nightmares for the next few months. Most we about BF chasing me down in different places, here and there. After a while they subsided to the point where i only get freaked out late at night, reading scary BF stories on the computer, with the sliding glass door next to me....
They really sucked for awhile, but the one that got me the most was then next day after my sighting. I didn't get much in the way of sleep that night and so when I got home i was completely beat. Up all night, and then the adrenaline push of the sighting etc etc. When I finally laid down on the couch to grab a nap, as soon as I closed my eyes, I was in my front yard and running for my life. I come around the corner of the house at full speed, trying to make it to the door, and slip and fall. my hands are mere inches from the screen door and I just can't get up and move. I am so terrified that my body is like Jell-O. None of my muscles are working and I'm trying to crawl thru the door. I'm half way in, still laying on my side and digging with everything I have, which isn't much because of the Jell-O, and I realize, I'm just not going to make it. I let out a blood curdling scream and snap awake... Ooops, was that out loud? Apparently it was because my wife is looking at me with complete shock and some fear too in her eyes. She can tell something is wrong. "Honey, how was your camping trip"? "Well....."

You know, I would liken your encounter experience to discovering the boogy man exists after all. I don't know if there's another way for you to respond to that other then the way you have. To go from never giving the subject a thought to getting hit with it all within a few minutes, I can't think the brain would be very accepting of that all at once. You might well still be in the process of learning to accept it. Sometimes for the mind to actually accept something tramatic like that, it can even take years for that to happen - but I have a good suspicion that "actually accepting" your encounter and the fact that something exists straight out of your childhood nightmares is what still has to happen. It's quite possible you're still in that "accepting" stage and that can be kind of rough. As time passes it should get easier.

What a cool thread. I had a dream about Bigfoot about 15 months ago.
I was living in Colorado at the time. We were in extreme North Routt County in the small town of Columbine at the base of Hans Peak. Anyway I, in my dream, was back at the family farm in Southwest Wisconsin. We had 150 acres in the Mississippi river valley. 50 of it was Bluff side facing the river. I, in my dream, was out on the bluff. Not at the top but, close enough that I could see the top. I think I was by my self. I remember I was looking for BF :new_thumbsupsmileyanim: Why I don't know. Anyway I saw him. He or she was running across the top of the bluff, between trees, about 30 yds away, parallel to where I was walking. I could only see BF's silhouette against the sky. So I started to call Him or Her. I made a sound I can only say was like the hooting of an owl. Next thing I know my wife, not dream wife but the real one, is shaking me awake and asking me what the hell I was doing. I guess I was actually making the hooting noise out loud. Woke and scared the wife, scared the cats, etc.
That dream is the reason I started looking into Internet sites and how I eventually found this Forum. I don't post alot but I read all the time.
I also had one the other night. I was on a deck in the woods with??? Anyway to my left I saw movement. So I walked forward and looked around a tree and There BF was. But when I backed up and looked around the Left side of the Tree BF wasn't there. He was on the Right but not on the Left :new_grrr: Then the dream ended.
Anyway just thought I would share.

Anyone ever Fished for BF ???
I was with Friends in a big House out in the Woods & we had Fishing Rods ( must have had Bait on ) set out over the Balconies of the House into the Woods...
All of a sudden my Rod started & line was reeling off...
I struck ( yeah i struck ) & hooked it & started to play it whilst all the others in my Party were in the House still but i had such a bad feeling, i never saw the BF because the Rods were cast out over the side of the House & i was too scared to look..
I must have woke up immediately because i felt a really bad spooky feeling & i didn't like it at all !!!

Holy crap, I had FOUR sasquatch dreams in one night on the weekend - must have been due to the Contac C I took for my cold. OK, here goes:
1. I was standing in a field on the farm where I grew up and there were several other sasquatch enthusiasts with me. We had binoculars and thought we should use them to look around. Through mine I saw a figure walking through a wheat field at least a mile away. We all thought it was a saquatch, even though the figure was totally indistinguishable from a person - never mind the fact that sightings on the open prairie are practically nonexistent.
2. I was walking in the woods alone, when I had the sense of a sasquatch chasing me. I ran like crazy but never anything.
3. I was alone in the basement lunchroom at my workplace when I somehow realized that a sasquatch was living in that basement, spending days in the ventilation system and coming out at night to raid the fridge. In the dream the vents were a heck of lot bigger than they really are.
4. This last dream I was observing from a third-person view. Someone (maybe me - don't know) was in the same lunchroom mentioned above when he was surprised by the resident sasquatch and pummeled to death. The police came and noticed 16-inch human-like footprints (made from walking though the bloody mess) going into the forest.
