I was just reading some sightings on another board when I was quite astounded to find this:

A BF sighting by Mike U

This was surprising as how many possible Mike U.'s could there be out there?

Anyway, in case you've read it I just wanted ya'll to know it tweren't me. But, oddly enough we do have a Baseline Rd. here in Ocala that has a golf course on it and that had me questioning my sanity for a moment till I saw it was in Arizona. :doh: I usually just skip down to the actual sighting before I look at where it took place.

It's like that Bizzaro episode of Seinfeld!!!

you can pretty much chock that report up to a hoax or misidentification. baseline runs along the north side of south mountain[ rock desert hot sparse vegetation except desert scrub and in metro phoenix to boot] west out to buckeye,

while there is a large dried river bed west about 10 miles or more it would be a hundred miles of walking thru a populated metro area that is in the desert to get to any kind of habitat closely needed for this creature. i mention the river bed as most believe they may follow creeks rivers and utility/rail road right of ways as they roam thru an area.

while i have cautioned people that AZ is not all death valley desert as many think the area if this sighting is desert that is now city.

south is the res and the salt river. while i have never been on the res for any long peroid the terrain is nasty hot scrub vegitation and with the exception of the salt which is dry and the gila which is mostly dry there is no water source.

Probably a intentional hoax fabricated by the BFRO to discredit you. :sign_baa: :sign_baa:

It freaked me out finding my name on the BFRO sightings database. But, having it linked to a hoaxed sighting really sucked. I was wondering why the report had in big red letters at the top of the report "UNUSABLE".

If they were, fabricating an intentional hoax would be a great way to do it. Hopefully, the BFRO will right their listing ship in the near future and get on with the business of documenting this cryptid.
I admire the courage of people who come forward to tell of their encounter(s). I sometimes wonder if I would have that courage knowing the ridicule I'd likely face.

I was going to ask if someone knew what the "Unusable" meant... it wasn't on this report before. I know, because I worked with the superintendent at the golf course that's mentioned in the report and had asked him a couple of years ago if he had anything to tell me! :new_lmaosmiley:
