"The cadre of ivorybill enthusiasts who had believed in the bird for decades, and who had faced only slightly less ridicule than Bigfoot fanatics, had been vindicated."

At least someone mentioned us! I'm thrilled.

I think people who are fascinated with a Little Wood Pecker should be the ones that are shameful. ...... Really though it is a great discovery.

It's better than being mentioned in the National Enquirer.

National Geographic? Of Archeoraptor fame? Yeah, same NG.

I think it would be good for Tom Biscardi and Matt Moneymaker to go disprove this. Everytime one of these two show up, it turns out not to be true. Let's see them chase around a little bird for a month or two. They can give us updates, and also, they can show us samples of this alleged bird( wings, beaks, etc,)

Within a year, the scientific community will say this bird is just a genetic mutation from the common day pecker.

Seriously...lol

Actually I've been seeing a lot of cryptozoology related good publicity lately, and if not exactly publicity per se, the topic certainly seems to be gaining interest and maybe a modicum of credibility? oustide our ranks. Anyway it certainly seems to be a lot busier in the news arenas now than when I used to hang out someplace else (which went kind of mute a number of months ago).
