Although I live in NE North Carolina, I grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida. I remember - or think I remember - hearing a local AM radio show/interview/whatever about bigfoot. The radio station was WDAE 620 AM [the freq may be wrong but the call letters are correct]. I think this particular "show" was broadcast in the 1970's. I believe the host was Stan Majors [before he went national]. There was one guest on the show IIRC [I don't remember his name], and I remember him mentioning a BF sighting in Arcadia, Florida, although I don't remember any details of that sighting.
Anybody from/in Florida remember this?
My wife's cousin moved to Arcadia a few years ago, and hearing the name of that town reminded me of this radio show.
BTW, I tried emailing the radio station to ask if they had old tapes of shows like this, but they never replied.
Probably thought I was a nut... which is true, but I still wanted to know of they had any tapes.
