"I live on Prince Edward Island, a small island on the east coast of Canada. Growing up in the small town, several friends and me have been making out own movies for a few years. Well, for one of these movies, we needed a shot of our buddy running out of a woods (has was supposed to be being chased by bad guys) we trudged out to the middle of nowhere (easy to do where I live) and shot this scene out in the deep woods.

While our friend runs out of the woods, something runs across the screen behind him and we have no idea what it was. All I know is, it looks huge, black and furry and seems to start out running on all fours and then proceed at the end to get up on it's back legs and run. There aren't any bears on the island either so we have no idea what is it. We told the local media and they didn't take us seriously, so we're kind of keeping it to ourselves and agreed to show you guys and find out what you think.."

We have some really goo threads on this floating around. Try searching "PEI video" or "Prince Edward Island".

this keeps coming up......and I live on this darn island and as interesting as the footage is, there is no way a creature like that could live here and go unnoticed. Farmlands everywhere, golf courses and tons of campgrounds and hiking trails. Too many people and not enough habitat to have it never seen again.

I couldn't find the other PEI threads, so...

IMO it doesn't appear very primatelike, could even be a "Chow" type of dog chasing flies, but I figure it's a black bear.

Edit: Wierd. I watched it over and over a few days ago and it looked like something on all fours galloping across then rising as it got near the cover the other side. But just watching it again now, it does look like something upright with an arm swinging. Real impossible to make much out with those crappified you tube vids though. I wonder if they compress on the fly or something resulting in viewing a few days apart making detail different according to server load.

I thought it was, "Makuna matata..."

(Gosh, this gets so confusing)

It's not a black bear as there are no bear on the island at all.
It's definately on two legs. At first watch it appears to be all fours with back legs kicking out, but if you watch really closely you'll see what you thought was back legs is actually arms swinging backwards.
bigfoot: i believe
thats really cool i saw that video about maybe a month or two ago! :new_lmaosmiley:

Only watched it twice so far. First impression was it's a black bear. Second impression was it looked like it was on two legs at the end. Gonna go watch it a few more times.

it has a primate shape. back legs are short compared to the arms. It covers a lot more ground and a lot faster than the guy running towards the camera.

The more I've watched this video over the years, the more it confuses me.

1) Why does the guy come running out of the woods to the left when the 'creature' runs from the woods on the right?

2) The guy keeps looking back over his shoulder to the left also. Hummm, maybe he ran into momma and baby was running from the right to catch up?

3) Why hasn't anything further been heard about this? You'd think with everyone that is investigating these days that someone would have found these guys and 'grilled' them.

4) What were they doing there that day and what was the guy filming when his bud ran out of the woods?

5) Is that all there is? Wouldn't most people have kept the camera running or at least done a follow up with the guy who was running?

I don't know but I lean towards this being something. Not sure what, but I don't think it was staged. Too many questions, no answers. mad.gif

Well, it says that they were in the middle of filming a movie and the character was running away from the bad guys, that's why he's running from the left and he keeps looking over his shoulders. Having said that, I do have some thoughts...
It seems staged.. the actings not terrible, but I dunno...
The figure behind does seem to move too fast to be a guy in a suit, could be a bear but apparently no bears live around there...
If it IS real, that would be enough for me to stop going in the woods back there :new_lmaosmiley:
