I don't know if any of you have read what I wrote about following a set of tracks that lead into a campground. I said that I had picked up the trail on the road and followed it into the campground. I'm going to find the original post and link it here, but right now I am just AMAZED!!! SHOCKED!!!

Okay, I read this report from a guy stating that the bigfoot.... Well, you know what, I'm going to post both posts here. If I'm out of line, please delete them and I apologize.

What get's me is that my report is from this exact campground, and the behavior is the same. I have notes, dated from 1999, when this occured, and I have just read this. Furthermore, no one has read my personal notes except two others who I know never devulged the location.

I am amazed at the simiarity of the behavior, and for one - do believe this guy!!

Okay, going to find my post, then his.

I posted this a couple of days ago in the "In The Field" catagory, under "Wood Knocking Technique":

"Okay, now this might surprise many but I have found many tracks near forest campgrounds and I have a story about how I discovered this. I had picked up a trail near a campground - up the road a bit. It was fresh, from the night before. As I followed the tracks, I soon noticed it going from tree to tree. As I got closer to the campground, I noticed it was snaeking up to the campground, and as I followed the trail, it came to a large stump where it sat down with a view of a camp site. There it was two footprints as it sat there on that stump watching the campers. I still recall writing about this in my journal - how it had snuck up on the campground like a cartoon character, going from tree to tree till it got to the stump.

From then on, I would go to remote campgrounds and take a look at areas where a bigfoot might watch campers at night. And, you know what, more than fifty percent of the times, I would find tracks."

Well, the story behind this is that is the exact area this guy had his sighting at. I am especially amazed at the behavior - going from behind tree to tree. I recall this because it was so comical - like a cartoon character sneaking up on someone. Then it came to a large stump and sat down to watch the campers. This was in 1999, so the big guy is obviously still there. I even tracked it to where it comes out of the mountain towards Mt. Adams.

I have a photo of one of it's tracks that I will scan now.

Hi Moop!

I can understand your excitement at finding this report after your own observations. Was this a community campground by chance (your observations)? We always choose to camp in community campgrounds and I've never given any thought to anything wild coming into the campgrounds with the exception of small wild life. It sounds like the BF in the encounter report may have been attracted to the kids playing. Kids are rarely quiet so it's likely it heard the noise and came in to watch. Going from tree to tree does seem cartoonish, but it goes to demonstrate how shy/afraid they appear and that hiding themselves is everything. It would be great to see your photos. Thanks!

Cool. That is awesome that a guy had a sighting at the same camp grounds. Can't wait to see the tracks.

Okay, here's the sentence that got me - from his report of 2003:

..."on the return trip to the campsite I saw a Sasquatch walking from tree to tree looking at me."

And, here's a photo of the big guy's 16 inch track.
(apologies for the quality)

Wow....that is truly awesome. Especially that your ecounter was so similar and in the SAME CAMPGROUND, Moop! I need to get out West sometime with the sole intention of being in the woods the whole time looking for these guys.

Very interesting... ph34r.gif

Now I've got a new idea for a new signature - thanks... :new_whistle:

If this is case then set some game camera's 50 to 100 yards out from your camp facing toward the camp. Just a thought. This seems to go along with some other reports of hide and seek.

Hiya WHit;

Yeah, that one just amazed me. Mostly because I'd came across a lot of tracks, and it was the only one that I found with that going from tree to tree behavior. Not saying it doesn't happen elsewhere, because I am sure that it does, but it's the only place I found it. And, I still remember it well. Yo uknow, most times you are trying to theorize about what it was doing, etc. In this case, there was no doubt. Especially when the tracks came to the stunp and it sat down. I actually sat where it had - I'm 6 foot 6 BTW. Anyhow, there in front of me was a perfect view of the area right around the campfire of this particular campsite.

Anyhow, just amazing. I - for one - do plan a return trip. I'm actually going to the area north of Mt. Rainier this October to do some more "lookin around". I haven't been to that area yet, so it should be fun. Anyhow, if you're in the area ever, you're more than welcome to join me. I have pretty good luck at finding them.

My personal fav spot is between Mt Rainier, Mt St Helens and Mt Adams.

Hope your day is going great!

Not a bad thought.

That campground appears to be dead center in the highest density sasquatch reporting area of the nation. It might be a good investment in time to camp there for a few weeks and set a couple game cams in the woods around the camp.

Sounds really promising.
