From Keith Foster's Colo/NM stuff at Bigfoot Encounters:

and from a BFRO report
creekfreak

Hi Creekfreak

I've been watching your reports unfold with great interest. As an artist that has rendered many bigfoot illustrations, I thought that this addition to the thread might be interesting, and also satisfy my own curiosity about the creature you are dealing with.

After reading most of the threads pertaining to your experiences, I began to wonder if one of my efforts came close. I really appreciated the image you posted, in fact I've corresponded with the artist of record.

You mentioned that there were some things thatwere "off" as far as the build, etc. After going through my archive, the one that seems closest to your description is the image I'm going to post with this reply. It's an illustration that was used for the Bigfoot COnference held in Bellingham Wa in 2005. It seems close to what you described.

This is how I built all the Bigfoot illustrations, BTW. Listening to encounters like yours. PLEASE continue . . . you certainly have my attention!

Hope you can resolve the mystery, for yourself AND for us as well!

Peace.

Yeah - I haven't had an encounter of my own yet, but many of these pictures are what I would believe (or maybe want) a Bigfoot to look like...

Paul, That's an awesome picture.
Hairy Man
Here is a very cool link to work done by Pete Travers. You can submit your report to him and he will work with you to draw what you saw.

He also has a neat "line-up" for you to view of bodies and heads.

Agreed, very well done Paul and Pete. I wonder if we could have a thread for sighters and what sketches most resemble theirs?
Smitty
Paul, do you have any Florida settings in your paintings?

I would love to see a painting with a setting similar to what I expect (and have seen from the pics on CF's thread) a north Florida backyard to look like!

Good stuff, and GREAT LINKS :new_thumbsupsmileyanim: !

Thanks,

Smitty

Greetings Pasart01,

Paul, just wanted to tell you that your paintings are awesome. They are the most realistic BF images that I have ever seen. You are super Paul ... just super and amazing.

Thank you so much for your contribution to this forum and please do post more often. I, for one would love to hear how you have mastered this art when it comes to painting the Quatch. I like your "Rogue" the best. So real.

Thank you,
creekfreak
Paul I tryed to go to your site but it would not load I need to download flash player it said Ill down load it before I go to bed Iam on dial up so every thing takes so long Iam at 38000 bps so when I want to download anything I cant surf at the same time . I guess you could say everything moves a little slower in the swamp . I look forward to seeing your work maybe when I get a camara I can send you some swamp pics you can work with there are some amazing sights around here Smitty would get home sick seeing them . Pete your site is great I took a look some of the faces where like seeing an old freind you can see there soul in there eyes Ill have to go back to see what # they where but two of them where right on for the one I saw its intresting there are so many different faces I guess they are like us in that way they all there own look some mean some goofy I love it

Hi All

Thank you all for the kind remarks. Feedback is essential to artistic progress. And it dosen't matter if it be praise or if the viewer is doubled over in nausea, I try to learn from whatever they say. I still execute the art the way I know how, but I still listen . . . especially to others who have had an empirical visual experience. I have not.

TY2, Mooseman, Ridgerunner: Thanks! I'm happy you like the work.

Smitty: I don't get as much time to do these any more, but I'm willing to entertain a "swamp ape" version. I actually did one before, long ago, and I'll try and find it in the archive and post it for you. It wasn't one of my strongest efforts, be forewarned.

Wardog1078: Glad you like the work, especially "Rogue". That is the hands down favorite of all of them. In fact, it has recently been adopted as an emblem that will grace the side of a US Coast Guard rescue helicopter!

(There you have it . . . a branch of the US government that supports the existance of Bigfoot! :new_thumbsupsmileyanim: )

Creekfreak: I hope you find the wait worthwhile. Here's a link to another site of mine, one that features strictly Bigfoot art:

http://home.comcast.net/~paul.smith7/sas.htm

Yes, another flash site, sorry! I try to keep these files small, but sometimes with artwork it just is impossible. So please get the plug in and enjoy. I'd love to hear the feedback.

I will also try to post more. I may be between jobs soon ( . . . gulp . . . ) so I may have more time on my hands then I really want.

And BTW, I have for the longest time been a fan of Pete Travers. His work is easily at the top of the Bigfoot art food chain!

See youse all later!

Hey guys,

Pete Travers here. This is my first posting on this forum. It has a great format by the way.

If anybody has an eyewitness that had a close-range sighting, please send them my way. I need to do a bunch more sketches for the Bigfoot Sketch Project to be of any use.

Head and Body submission forms can be filled out here:

http://www.thepaintedcave.com/img/pete/sasketch/bsp_main.php

Any eyewitness that is willing to do a sketch session gets a free poster, for what its worth. The poster looks like this:

http://www.thepaintedcave.com/cgi-bin/store.cgi?sasposter=1

Its the same poster I had at the Bigfoot symposium in Idaho.

Hi Creekfreak,

You may have addressed this in another post, and if you have I apologize for asking again. How does what you saw compare with the subject in the Patterson-Gimlin film?

Pat Barker does some amazing work.

Hey Pete I emailed you with a couple of my sketches did you ever get it?

It was quite awhile ago...

We are very, VERY fortunate to have Paul, Pete and Pat as members here at the BFF. Thank you all for your work on this subject and for sharing it openly with us! :new_thumbsupsmileyanim:

BTW, Pete your picture #26 of the Hypothetical Body Sketches gave me chills when I opened it. The only difference in it and what I saw is, the arms in the sketch are a bit longer and the distance I was from the creature didn't allow me to see any facial features. I do believe that #26 would be a ringer though.

Hey JayleeD,

I have a request. And please excuse my total ignorance on how this works, but I would love to start a thread about my new novel called No Return. I see that there is a Media/Fiction section on the website but I don't think I have the authority to start a thread which I completely understand.

Thanks,

Pete

I love all of the sketches and so forth.

In my opinion, if Bigfoot is real, and is a close relative to we humans as we suspect, I would suspect their hair color, eye color and appearance can be as drastically different from one to the next, just as humans' can be from one another.

Great Sketches and portrayals of these creatures though.
