Here's the world's most famous footprint find. It should resonate with every BF hunter:

"It happened one day, about noon, going towards my boat, I was exceedingly surprised with the print of a man's naked foot on the shore, which was very plain to be seen on the sand. I stood like one thunderstruck, or as if I had seen an apparition."

Wow! That mind-blow is going to happen to society-as-a-whole when someone shows it a BF body.

Maybe BF should have been called "Friday."

I have a 1896 copy of Robinson Crusoe.

You are a lucky guy SFS. I think I will try to go buy the book and read it again. Who said there isn't a little kid in all of us. Have you always owned the book? Was it passed down in your family?

A coffee shop in the city where I live was going out of business, and was selling off it's inventory. I payed a dollar for the book, it's in pretty good shape too. The only thing that could make it undesirable to a collector is that someone wrote something on one of the leaflet pages in the front of the book. In small black writing it says, " Albert, Christmas 1900". smile.gif

SFS, if you're interested in having it appraised, don't hesitate because of the writing. I've read that sometimes personal notations make books even more valuable. smile.gif

Really?

I didn't think it would be worth much if a coffee shop would sell it off for a dollar, but maybe they didn't know what they had.

I think I'll check it out. Thanks, Jaylee. smile.gif

Say...

If personal notations make it more valuable...

Maybe we should send it to Arky... smile.gif

I understand the margins of her books are often more entertaining than the book itself! biggrin.gif cool.gif unsure.gif icon_mrgreen.gif

Could maybe make a fortune...

Ummm, let's see... nought nought, double-nought, bring down the nought...

I'd say your suit will be ready in a eleventyseven millionzillion years sir.
