Tracking 2006
Our 7th Annual International Tracking Symposium
October 20-22, 2006
YMCA Camp Ravencliff
near Redway, California, USA
70 miles south of Eureka, CA, USA
and 250 miles north of San Francisco, CA, USA
Whether you are an animal tracker or 'man tracker', you are invited
In years past ISPT has successfully brought together trackers of all backgrounds from throughout North America, and some special guests from across the globe. These events foster understanding and stimulated communication amongst ALL trackers.
We are calling for all trackers: professional and amateur; law enforcement, search and rescue, forensic investigation, nature study, game hunters, naturalists, recreational, photo journalists, hunting guides, trappers, survivalists, hobbyists, and others that are just interested. We are also looking for presenters, unpublished is a plus (but not required) … we are looking for “new” things that are happening out in the tracking world.
We want to meet you, so we are keeping the costs down, offering day rates, and the committee is working hard to make sure we have everything we need for a successful weekend. This year will be momentous in many ways .. the trackers who attend will share and preserve tracking knowledge while promoting tracking as a resource for all its varied uses in the future.
Come and share your progress in tracking techniques, education, evaluation, ongoing research, and what you or your organization has to offer the world of tracking. This is a planned 3-day symposium that will include many opportunities to listen to and talk with other trackers, as well as spend time in the field demonstrating and examining tracks and sign.
